Description

There was once a writer that felt like creating a story about a rock. A rock so amazing that its story just needed to be told. How amazing? Not amazing at all, on the contrary, quite ordinary. Don't believe me? Then read on.

Edit: Resumed the story. Can’t do any more audio versions for now. I plan on editing some of the now non-applicable author notes and maybe rearranging the two side stories or combining them with the deleted chapters.

This piece of work is simply astounding. The way the author builds and then desconstructs his own narrative, and consequentially NARRATIVE itself, while mantaining a humorous atmosphere all throughout the story is purely the work of someone who have mastered the art of storymaking/storytelling.
The worldbuilding, character building, grammar and even the style used are all great but it is in the intricacy of the sewing of words in the shape of small, dynamic chapters that makes "Just a Rock" one work to be noticed, readed and, most certainly, rememberd.
I've been cruising trough this site for some time, now, only catching the eventual glimpse of brightness from some author in a few stories, in the middle of all this good against evil, reincarnation, VR etc., everything focused on the immediate and shallow pleasure of action, xianxia, wuxia and all that random blaber (don't get me wrong now, I enjoy that kind of read too, otherwise I wouldn't be here). And because of my experience in here I feel compelled to give you one simple statement. Your work does not belong here.
I mean it, for real. Your work should be exposed somewhere where it would be better apreciated than we are able to in this magical wonderland called RoyalRoadl. So I ask you to expose it outside, to the world. But, I would also like to make one selfish request. Please don't remove the story from this website. It have all that is needed to be a break for the continuous padron of (most) other works in here. For me it was like a breath of freash air in a room in wich I couldn't even realize the air was stagnant.

This story started from a bland, dull, seemed to never be interesting idea. But the storytelling, the characters, the ordeals, absolutely everything about it blew me away. Sure the dread of the length of the chapters haunts me because it is too short, but the story makes up for it. Hoping for this story to reach best rated. Because it has the potential to reach the heavens. Even though it's just a story about a rock.
