After failing to prevent a loved one's murder, Brett finds himself ripped from his old life and thrust into a strange world of convergent realities. With only the clothes on his back and a burning vengeance, he must learn to thrive in a place that most are trying their best to escape.
In exchange for a future favor, a desperate god grants Brett the power he needs to make his enemies pay. The multi-dimensional crime syndicate that incurred his wrath makes for slippery prey but that won’t deter him. As he hunts through this strange convergence of worlds, he finds allies and more danger than he could ever hope for.
He’ll need to gain enough power to slaughter his way through the shadowy cabal and overcome this garbage system. One thing is certain: he will catch up with his enemies, and they won’t stand a chance

- AlvimopenRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Despite being 23 chapters in, they are short, so this is a partial review that I will likely return to. I really like the story despite any complaints and I recommend a read.
The originality is good, having at least a few ideas I haven't encountered before in regards to the Isekai/transport method and the minimalist System building, as well as how the world understands and interacts with it.
Mechanics is where zaifyr shines, with language that is beautiful and evocative, but it will also move with effortless pacing. The fights are easy to visualize and his Juggernaut powers are gripping so far. I came here from his Roomba fiction expecting the same quality of writing and was not disappointed.
The setting is fair so far an Isekai/Dungeon fiction, but we haven't had a lot of time for it to be fleshed out besides the protagonist and some side characters. The dungeon chapter settings are written and described very well.
Regarding the main plot (revenge) I have no complaints. We are progressing along that front as you would expect (a slow burn) and we're in the Hero's Threshold, getting stronger. The characterization itself I am struggling with. I don't understand Brett's personality. Is he a firebrand, impassioned killer? A calculating, quiet vindicator? There are no stages of grief that you would expect from suddenly losing your loved one. I believe her name is only mentioned 10 times in the whole story so far. The remarks about her killer are dispassionate, with no rage, condemnation, or reaffirmation of his intention to avenge his lover. As the reason for the story's progression, it's very easy to forget. Other Isekai's generally play the "I didn't live my last life to the fullest so I will now!" trope as motivation, but that is not expressed here. For "incurring his wrath" as is described in the introduction, he does not feel all that angry, depressed, or guilty.
Overall, great Isekai/dungeon fantasy so far (minus revenge aspect) and I look forward to following it. - ensignminsonRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Straightforward isekai with a minimum of system content to better focus on the story. I like that the system is made intentionally obtuse and confusing to everyone not just the main character by the author as it gives the story a bit of humor. Early in the character development but I am enjoying a few of them already. Excellent writing style that is not verbose and helps one focus on the story and not the writing. May update after I get further along.
