Journey of a Thousand Worlds
Community Rating
Description
The main characters discover that they are extradimensional beings (planeswalkers) after having narrowly escaped death on planet Earth. They go on a journey to explore the universe(s) and to learn more about their past reincarnations while building a relationship with each other.
Note: This is very much a "slice of life," in that, while there is an overall plan for the story, it meanders and varies quite a bit on the way there, and there are often entirely unrelated things that happen, sometimes for chapters and chapters. If you'd rather not read that, please pass my story up. That being said, I appreciate all my readers very much and hope you enjoy the story!

- k.cRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Lilith gets hit by Truck-kun, but her adventure afterward isn't your typical isekai fantasy. She is a planewalker and has extraordinary powers, all while being accompanied by her companions.
Style Score: I think this section could use the most improvement, but I believe these are quick fixes and don't detract from the main story. I noticed the first couple of chapters have very dense paragraphs, and breaking them up would enhance the reader's experience. The author does a good job of pacing post-chapter 3, so it's just the initial couple of chapters. One more thing I noticed--I'm not entirely sure if this is because I'm only at chapter 8, but the reference chapters are a bit confusing to digest as a new reader. With that being said, the powers and triggers are diverse and interesting, and I look forward to seeing how they play out.
Story Score: This is an interesting isekai with a mix of traditional fantasy, sci-fi, and a touch of modernization. I think the author shows a lot of promise with this story, and I'm excited to see how they continue to develop the plot. I also want to commend the author for having more clarity as they progress on the switching of viewpoints.
Grammar Score: There are some misplaced commas and clunky sentence structure, but overall the author shows a strong grasp of grammar and any grammatical errors don't detract from the story.
Character Score: The story seems to be set up to encompass multiple viewpoints, but I think my main interest is in Lilith and seeing how she grows. The author does a good job of setting her up to be multifaceted. Worldbuilding is also interesting and unique. - FirstNexusRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0For a review swap: (Read through chapter 8)
Overall this gets a 4/5 because I use the overall score to rate my enjoyment and if put together well, this could potentially be very good in the future.
Style: What hurts this score is that this story doesn't have a distinct style. It has two POVs but even among the chapters, sometimes there are long paragraphs telling the reader the exact actions the MCs are taking and then other times it's short one line paragraphs not really describing much. I think that lack of a distinct style makes this story currently not really have much of an identity.
Story: The story so far is pretty good aside from the issues I have with the magic system, which feels like it fits more in the character portion of this review. I do think that the story is written well in a linear style. It doesn't jump around and connects in a simple, yet good way. I do think it could use much more depth in terms of world building and I think multiple chapters towards the beginning that introduce the magic system and explain more about being a planes walker could greatly help this story.
Grammar: There weren't any glaring issues I found so it sticks at a 5/5. I did explain earlier that there was massive variation in paragraph length at times but I docked that in the style portion of the review.
Character: This is so far the most glaring flaw with this story so far. I think the lack of character depth in the parts of the story I've read so far is more of a result of lack of exploration of the magic system and kind of skipping over Lillith and Trigger's relearning process of their powers. It doesn't feel like any kind of struggle. I love OP characters, but there has to kind of be a reason for it and I think a few extra chapters towards the beginning where Lillith is relearning her powers could do some good in creating more character depth and fleshing out the story in terms of worldbuilding.
All in all, an interesting start with a lot of potential. I love the prem
