Description

My first submission on Royal Road!This is a short story I did a while back when I was playing around with second-person perspective. I like the way it came out, but will probably not be doing any other stories from this perspective, it's just far too limiting and strange to read.

(Edit:  I mistakenly had said this was in the third-person.  A reviewer pointed out my mistake.  I have corrected that in the blurb.)

    The blurb led me to believe this was 3rd person, not 2nd person POV. The story is fairly straight forward, but it leans into the mystery that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Jessica doesn't have anything to do with them? Then what is it about? If you read it on the surface level, the prose and details are good - sometimes distracting as 2nd person is one that really prevents immersion unless you are engaged in the character yourself. It was good overall.
