- TealiciousTeaRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5It may not be popular but since when has popularity dictated quality?
Syle -
Stylish. Nuff said. Four stars.
Story -
Is viseral and uncomfortable. Because it is so close to reality.
Dark and well written but I can understand how the fiction is an accquried taste and certainly not one to be popular among RR readers.
A shame for RR readers because they don't know what they are missing out on.
I give it a four and half. It is well written, quality work for what it is.
Here is my opinion, not an expert, I don't think this story is the way to being a profesional author. It is not impossible, and I am not the one to ask for how to do it.
My understanding is that it is web serials that are fantasy or sci-fi that rake in cash through patreon or Kindle Unlimited.
It is a great story. You should be proud. It is quality work regardless of popularity or profitability. But if those are the things that matter to you then on RR unless you find out otherwise Jackpot is not way to become a professional.
Grammar - I saw no mistakes. Four and a half stars.
Characterisation -
Tasteful. Emotions, thoughts and situations are shown. The reader is given the chance to understand the characters but the space to not agree (or do agree with them).
They are morally and emotionally complex. Not in the, oh they are gray. No, in the fact they live in a complex world that leads to actions which may be harmful and benefical at the same time.
The 'right' answer is not given, though this does not mean the author is free of bias but rather they are as fair as they can be and clearly have put a lot of thought into difficult and complex subjects. There is critical thought yes, but also a open mind to different perspectives.
Gender -
Men are allowed to be affectionate to one another. Women are potrayed as complex characters.
Solid work on the cis men characters.
Here I get to a more contraversial point. I'm not here to elict agreement but to touch on something I notice.
The cis women characters are well p - EmpireofTrustRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Not run of the mill for RR its action adventure.
Modern day story written in a way that reflects the characters, big brash and plenty of testosterone.
Not dainty or delicate and none of the characters are very subtle either.
Very real and gritty feel, the writing is a little rough in the introduction as it throws a wall of info dump in great gobs but chugs along once the story gets going.
