Jack and Jill Conquer the Shattered World

Description
There are our bad friends. Friends who serve to bring the worst out of us. There are our good friends. Friends who inspire us to greater heights, support us, and sometimes act as an example for us.
Then there are our good, bad, friends. The ones who get us out of trouble as often as they get us into it. The ones who are with you when you accumulate those stories that you’re probably better off never telling in public...for legal reasons.
For Jilbert Sebastian, Jacqueline Marrow was all three at once.
Kind, Brave, Hardworking, Loyal, Arrogant, Selfish, Impetuous, Glory Hungry, and the farthest thing in the world from risk-averse, Jack Marrow seemed bound to either be the hero or villain, or her own legend.
Now it seems that young “Jill” is fated to be along for the ride. Bound to look after, and act as an accomplice to, the young runaway heiress as she sets off to find her fortunes and make her mark in the world.
Fortunately, or unfortunately, it’s looking like he might not mind the situation as much as he claims. They’re best friends after all...and maybe a little bit more. Thus begins the tale of the legendary Empty Archivist Society.

- McLovinRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Inigo's back with a new story! I started his series with Pitch Black Dreams, then unfamilliar faces, and have been hooked since, glad to see them back with a new story, and it's good! =D
P.S. check out his amazon only story "Fool Of The Twilight Blood Sea" it's under his pen name Inigo Sharpe it's amazing! - GGOAPRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0I really liked the beggining and the start of the forest but It started to get repetitive and unintressing like It isn't bad but i simply dont fins It good either its like i really liked but it feels a little dragged out and yeah It started to pode that creativity in the beggining but repeating It isn't bad its only the New chapters aren't much my style
- HurHarRoyal Road★★★ 2.5That's it really, I could go on about the writing or world building or characterization but it is all relatively secondary.
The main problem and what caused to lose interest is that everything important happens in time skips.
Spoilers ahead.
Jill losing his family and doing some quick growing after that tragedy?
Before the start of the story.
Growing close to Jack? Mostly in time skips.
The escape from the mansion? You get the offer to escape and then you are teleported to the result.
Training? A time skip skips over like 18 out of 22 stages of cultivation.
The thing that many would have come for after reading the description, the growing bond between Jack and Jill? GUESS WHAT?! A TIME SKIP!
Well, you get my point.
And as a result of that all the story's elements feel shallow and don't actually touch the reader, they are mentioned and skipped over, you never actually get to read about anything trully significant happening, the emotional, raw parts are glossed over time and again.
It's like the author has ideas and things he wants to explore in the story but doesn't know how to realize them so instead he glosses over and skips ahead and gives out another fait accompli and in doing so kills any interest, hell, I will give another example, why does Jack want to run?
Because she is gonna be sold as a sex slave to be used and killed.
We would obviously expect some great arc about revenge or redemption or whatever, nah, when they come out of the power up time skip it turns out all the people responsible for it died already, and that's how everything goes in this story.
On a side note Jack and Jill are obscenely overpowered so that's another issue, there is never any struggle, they are beyond talented.
Well, I could go on and mention other stuff from the story but in my opinion all the rest is relatively unimportant, these two points are what really made me give the workd such a low score.
