- Shou KouyouRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0As of Ch7. (Also, this is my own personal opinion and you are free to agree/disagree with any of the points stated below.)
Style: Theres two parts to this.
First, the story is told using a first person narrative which is extremely consistent throughout. Even when information needs to be fed to the reader on details outside the scope of the heroine, the story still maintains the narrative and moves to the mind of another character instead to describe the details.
Secondly, the thoughts and perspective offered closely aligns with the characters used to narrate the story and does not feel forced, unnatural, or overtly illogical like in some stories, and is well within the grounds of common sense, allowing for the reader to generate empathy.
Grammar:There were few grammatical errors and none that really affected with the story's flow or immersion. The sentences are also well thought, particularly when it comes to the inner monologues of characters which suit the general theme of the story well.
Character:The characters are not simply stated to possess traits which the readers have to blindly accept. Instead, the story repeatedly adds depth to the characters by demonstrating their natures through actions, allowing the reader to discover more tidbits of character information along with the story's progression. I personally found this to be very suitable for the first person perspective the story was written in and added to the immersion.
Story:There isn't really enough content to review this aspect yet so... I guess I'll get back to this part in future? maybe.
Overall:Its a nice, enjoyable read which somehow gave me an all-around pink feel as I read the story. At the very least, one message clearly came through to me from the writing. The author like cute things. - ShaadyGuyRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5What I am looking for on this website are stories with some interesting ideas told with technical proficency. The author of this story knows how to write third person limited perspective correctly, something 95% of the authors on this site do not know how to do. They also know how to structure a story correctly, for instance their use of the prologue sets up reader expectations for how the story will develop, and so far they are following through on those initial promises (which is all a story needs to do, in my opinion, to be interesting)
- hugoleoferRoyal Road★★ 2.0I was all up for some territory development or wars/skirmish with focus on stratetic maneuvers. Also expected maybe some noble scheming and face slaping but so far as chap 10 there was none. Story is very slow paced with very little happening in these 10 chapters.
Spoiler: Spoiler
He get's summoned, talks to people in the castle, goes to a city, saves it from thiefs. That's it. Rest is a lot of exposition and meaning dialogues like greetings/banter between characters.
MC is very unlikeable. Not because he's a gender-bender lolicon who transmigrated into 10-year old girl and keeps acting like one and trying to be cute, but because he's dumb and lazy. He can't understand magic, doesn't train, try to improve or understand the cheat skills he came up with. He figures them by chance in a bandit attack where he uses his command abilities to organize the local guard. That's it for "strategy game".
Spoiler: Spoiler
But in the end he still has to be saved by the Royal Wizard which was testing his powers at the cost of several people lives in this thief invasion scenario, but the MC was cool with it, who cares about those people that died so he could test his skills that he didn't remember when making the character.
He does everything the King(and retainers) wants like a puppy and don't question anything. So far politics is just a dialogue between the king and the royal wizard and nothing else.
Don't recommend.
