Nic Verilo is the latest son of the Verilo legacy, whose ancestor created the first Irradiated Winter. Unwilling to live a life hiding his family name, Nic takes hold of his own destiny to gain the ability to cleanse Irradiation. Unbeknownst to him, Nic's actions cause the rest of the world to take notice of him; and now he must learn who he can trust as he struggles to understand these new abilities. All of this before shadowy forces in the world can create a second Irradiated Winter to kill the remaining humans.

This was a very well written Prologue. Gives me high hopes for future chapters.
Prophetic dreams of the future hinting a fated friendship. A young mage taking on a student of her own.
As the story is so new, I can't say much else other than I'm excited for more!

Love this series, it got me hooked really early on, it's world building is immersive, and the magic system is great. Love the characters, they feel realistic, and the general concept of the story itself is really interesting. Love how the story's playing out so far, and looking forward to more.
