- shepardxiaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Interested in reading bc a friend recommended this. While I don't understand why the name Aleister but I do enjoy the plot twists, gore, and metaphors. The plot thickens as the book goes on maybe untangle some of the mysteries so I'm not constantly hung up on everything. One thought: is Aleister a dude or a guy maybe elaborate on that cuz u know, it's pride month.
- GoulherRoyal Road★★★ 3.0The plot is nice, the characters are all interesting in their own way, the protagonist is funny (i think).
Yet, I think a bunch of chapters are missing. half of the vocabulary related to 'cultivation' or Weavers are not explained and are just meant to be understood... how ?
I mean, some stories on RR are keeping some principles a secret because the protagonist is not ready or whatever (Here, it was nicely done with how becoming a Weaver has to be understood by oneself), here, the protagonist has good masters who are helping him allong the way, but the reader is kept clueless along the way. (Loops ? Spellbook ? Spell ?? Terminal Step Foundation ? rank three ? Aleister know exactly what this is and how it works, we don't have even a beginning of explanation even 20 chap after it was mentionned)
Had to stop at chap 60 cause I was just hurting too much. Aleister just knows how things work and we don't, so we're just watching the plot unfold while we just don't care. I liked the story in the beginning, sad.
