Description
Disowned by his family and banished from the magical institution, Kaniel had been exiled to rule over the forsaken northernmost borderlands.
There, the populace suffered from waves of monsters and famine. None trusted the bastard noble. Nor would Kaniel himself if not for the opportunity granted by an aloof deity. A mysterious web of infinite archives from a faraway realm known as Earth. The internet.
Through this, he could now access knowledge once reserved by imperial decree. Influence minds with modern education and command them through social engineering. Innovate the banking system to fuel economies. Initiate the Industrial Revolution.
A new, fascinating path. A hope. To protect, not destroy, perhaps. Yet in this darkness and its fantasies, one thing remained clear in his mind. There’s always a price to pay, even for something free. Especially for something free. But did that hold for someone who had lost everything but his life?

- AmerlyqRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Hey guys, don't be too harsh. At least it's decently unique.
Realistically useful power with a twist. Native mc getting transmigrator legacy. Power which mandates collaboration, meaning more interactions for us. Bleached demon maid, drawning in apathy. And tint of madness everywhere. It's stylish-esque.
I only hope the author isn't demotivated into hiatus already. - watlixRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0You know that feeling…
the moment where you witness something…
the moment when clarity hits…
the time where thoughts shut down…
the moment you know…
just know…
that the thing that you are currently witnessing is good…
beyond good…
excellent?
that happened recently when watching season 2 of arcane…
It was the end of episode 3, i hadn’t watched the earlier episodes, yet… those last 10 minutes of animation… they told me everything I needed to know what happened and how… the mastery you need for that is…
I was sold right at the end of the talk with the blind saint… leaving the carriage, i thought that the men was an standard anti-villain with a hearth of gold… that impressions shattered after he made a fool of himself… betting is life in a duel…
The story ensnared me until chapters were beyond my grasp…
The question… oh the question…
Would you still push on even if you cannot grasp any light at the end of the tunnel, imagine or otherwise?
I can’t say that I could… want to live in this mindset… yet… I can’t stop from wandering if I could… if I can climb out of such an oppressive feeling… just like a survival game starting from zero.
How can someone come out of that… I think it worth reading. - WindessRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0This story gives off the vibes of gothic horror like a Castlevania game and then swerve right onto early Internet nostalgia. I wonder if that's intentional since they are both phenomenons of the 90s and 00s. I still have not found a novel that could rival or trump Release That Witch when it comes to building up a desolate town. I hope this one will be it, though the hints about tower climbing are a bit worrying.

The author has a writing style unique to them. Whether that's to their benefit or detriment depends on the reader. Personally, It's not really my kind of style, and I don't enjoy reading it as much as I do other styles. It's wordy and exposition based, with a lot of show and less tell. However, they use a lot of very specific words, and it allows the reader to build up a good picture of the scene in their mind. Some more practice with dialogue and character description and the style is well on it's way to becoming polished and refined.
Grammar
Grammar is the weak spot of this. Partly at fault is one of the good things about the story's style. The story uses specific words, with specific and niche meanings and they're not always correctly used. There are various spelling mistakes, grammatical nuances that haven't been fully learned, and most importantly is consistency. The grammar is an issue throughout, at least as far as I've seen. While I'm confident it will improve given time, time is not what every reader wishes to spend in wait.
Story
The story is fairly intriguing. Some minor details and foreshadowing strewn throughout the chapters. World lore is explored briefly, and context can be gleamed through the better portions of dialogue. The system premise is somewhat unique? At least, I've never seen something exactly like it. It's a point regardless. Slight spoiler:
Having the system be intended for an earthling, but end up in the greedy clutches of a native, is fairly unique. I have only seen this a few times, and each time it's been done brilliantly. I hope to see you execute the premise well. :)
Character
Character is unfortunately where the story begins to fall apart. The main character has motives. The main character is somewhat intelligent and logical. The side characters seem to get thrown to the wayside though, and it's unfortunate. There are moments where you'll feel like you're supposed to learn something about a character: emotion, motive, backstor
