Internet Cultivator

Description
A young man is teleported to a fantastical world by powers he cannot comprehend and for reasons he views as inane. But that's not all! He brought a busted version of the internet with him! What will happen when a person who doesn't deserve it has near-unlimited access to priceless esoteric and mystical knowledge that could push even gods to the brink of war? What happens when he shows up and starts using that knowledge for his own gain?
This is a story about a young man dubbed 'Lan Jin' by the masses and the trials and adversity he is forced through largely due to the reckless way in which he lives his life.
A/N: This story is very much a cultivation soap opera. It has action, it has adventure, it has dumb and funny moments abound. The MC is not perfect, he's not a murder hobo, and this is not a powergrind fest. It is slow, methodical, and full of so much drama that you can choke on it. In real time, the story is incredibly slow. But in context of what's happening in the story itself, the pace is very fast.

- 1SamRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I'm excited to see this series start again, even if it is starting over.
The first chapter already shows the author's growth and I'm glad to say,
it is everything I hoped for. There are a few little grammatical errors but nothing major or noticeable.
The character looks like he will be rained in a bit in this book compared to the original. So, I'm expected an exponential
power rise for the mc as the author said would still be OP just not BROKEN.
I'm pumped to see where the story goes this time!
:P - BlueArcherRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I admit that an MC that keeps the modern man mindset instead of simp psychopath that just is insane was one of the best parts. The sheer amusement that I got when there are moments of sheer tsunderism and how basically the tanned young mistress doesn't know how to react. This guy is basically is the incarnation of the meme 'Fuck you, the crocs and socks are great!' With his clothes was one of the best things ever read as there isn't anything better than instead of turning native he just looks out of place because his generation perception is absolutely different from the racist and know that it doesn't matter the gender of the being that can Hyper murder him.
Absolute best part? How he sees everyone else as morons for trying to keep frail pride when is smart admit that there is super amazon that can mass slaughter them all in same room. - PunpopeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0It's still pretty early into the book but I think it is a pretty good story. So far it shows the vibe of a fish out of water quite well, and the interations between the protagonist and the other charactors in interesting. On that note, the characters so far seem to be of a rather nice quality
- FantasySeekerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I am aware it's slow. Little combat, most talking and no cultivation info-dump, yet I like it for this reason. The MC is a normal transmigator with his circunstances and he can't simply change into Lin Feng mentality, it has to be slow at this stage of knowing the new world.
Later conflict may arise, but does not expect the solution to be a bloodshed or humiliation, author likes to create situations better solved with wisdom and I like it. The protagonist is wise, but still ignorante because "transmigator", however, so far he accepted the consequences of his actions and did not whine or let himself fall into the pushover no-balls japanese mentality (I hate japanese protagonists, they have no desire to live at all).
- Malcolm ChambersRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5This is a better story, and a lot less implausible. The author has treated the first version as a learning experience and crafted a great story.
It does truly feel like a completely different story though. It is not a rewrite but a completely new examination of the theme
If you are new to the story, you miss nothing from not reading the previous story - MarkosRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Okay...what if you are just a guy who doesn't know about the mainstream novels about cultivation, what they do, what they scale, how they progress and etc.
Enter Lan Jin, what he has is a golden finger that isn't a system that doesn't have a manual or voice activation, which gives him obvious spoon fed quest.
Watch him stumble along.
The guy can cultivate plot relevance, which may or may not kill him. As far as Cultivation MCs goes he requires less suspension of belief and the reader can easily get into his head space.
This may cause some readers who look for larger than life OP murder hobos to not like the current rate of power progression. But all I can say is let the author (JB) cook, the guy is playing around with the world in an infinitely grounded way than most. Growing characters and relationships organically.
Honestly, Lan Jin just needs a library with the basics and he can have a good grasp on his new world, by chapter 40 it hasn't been a week yet.
What I like about him is that he didn't go all " I will kill everything because I am edgy" by the second day ...........that's a low bar but still it counts.
Though I hope that when it's time to get dirty Lan Jin won't pussy out, he doesn't seem to be the type to hesitate when it's really kill or be killed, he just seems to want to avoid that entire situation.
Drawing a line is important. even if isn't just a line on the sand. - zimbimbarooRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0The story is a big improvement from the previous version that just had the MC gain far too much power much too quickly.
There are a lot more interesting character interactions than the previous version, and the world building feels very solid.
The descriptions of the environment and the character's reaction to the environment are well done.
Misunderstandings make sense. Plot points have appropriate context. The MC is still hax, but now he has reasonable limitations.
While the central story mechanic of the search tool in the MC's head plays a big role, it is not the main focus of the story. The characters are the main focus, and that keeps things balanced.
It's not very sophisticated, but it's entertaining. I recommend. - XerfrexRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5The story is pretty good in most aspects, with the writing being solid and the world being familiar but not generic. Though we haven't seen much of the world, nothing in it seems wildly out of place and it has potential to shape up to be very interesting.
With all that said, I cannot stand the main character. He feels aggressively stupid, not in that he doesn't know thinge, but in the fact that he has the miraculous ability to make the worst possible choice half the time, with the other half being just straightforward decisions. He seems oddly uncommitted to preserving his own existence and has shown zero drive to do anything.
I'll give it some more time for the character to develop, but as it is right now, I can't stand the guy.
Overall, pretty good story, incredibly irritating MC. - FallouGNRoyal Road★★★ 2.537 chapters and there is nothing to show for it. When will the MC really starts his journey? And the interactions between the characters are so full of misunderstandings that it is hard to not roll my eyes, that's not how real people talk and express their feelings even if it is a cultivation world!
The idea of the book is so interesting but the execution of it is meh...
