- 0_Clononea_0Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0The story is really good.
I really enjoyed it, but if I had to say something negative about it, it would be that there where times the story felt to fast paced. I think it could have gotten better with more chapters. How many? Why? Idk. It's just what I felt while reading the story.
But it's still a really good story and I like how it ended. - CoronRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Really good story. The characters are well developed, have their own personalities and are believeable. Grammar and style of writing are among the best I have seen on RoyalRoad so far.
Finished the whole thing in 2 days and messed up my sleep schedule a bit, because it was that good.
I personally liked that there was no unreasanable drama and people actually talking to each other honestly.
Tanya, the antagonist so to say, is the only character that just seems plain evil with no redeeming features. I would have personally liked to know more about why she was that hostile against them, so hostile even to attempt murder and seriously injure people. (Assuming I didn't just forget/overread that part in a sleep deprived haze)
EDIT: The author added the backstory in an update. While Tanya is still a twisted person, there is now some reason that explains her behaviour/resentment.
All in all, if you're sightly curious from the synopsis, I strongly recommend you read this. - K.AsvoriaRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0This Review is a submission to Review Challenge [April Thread].
Style: Simple and readable! Easy to read and the pace is just right. Although I personally prefer to garnish the writing style into something better, such as a little bit more descriptive.
Grammar: For this, I am in no position to comment on the use of grammar. As I believe the auto-correct should have provided enough guidence to the matter.
Story: A very standard teen drama romance slice of life. The completed story flows well, and follows the good story-telling practice of developing the climax and ending. There are lack of developing on the antagonist (Tanya) although with the chapter edit, it was too late to put her story at the near ending.
The other part I personally feel lacking about the story is, the development of the relationship between the couples. The author focused mainly on the sexuality and lack of the emotional (other than sexuality) development.
The story itself, overall is plain to the read. The drama, is dramatic but lack the depths of the tension.
Character: One complain I have for the naming of the characters. Anne, Abby, Jo, Susan, Tanya... they are memoraby but not in a good way. They are too general and simple. Yes, I mean when your character was named Susan! I have nothing to go against the character Susan, but it is better to think of a name less frequently used.
The other problem I have with the characters, they are mainly describe and develope in terms of their sexuality and their perspective on sexuality. It lack of the depth of a person, a character.
The good thing about the characters, are that they are accurate as teens. The curiousity about sexuality and their exploration on sex and their fear of coming out... it is well described.
Overall: As the overall, I have to congratulate and respect the author for completing this story! 🥂 In general, it is a good read if sexuality is a topic of your interest. And it is a teen drama, and there you have it.
