Instinct (Revamped)

Humanity discovers it's not alone, and that their instincts run deeper than they ever thought.

Ex-military scientist Amelia Ryder and her illegal A.I. companion, affectionately named Hal, have spent the last three years on the run from the BlackRock think-tank nicknamed Wonderland. Things change when first contact is made, and Amelia finds herself driven into the spotlight amidst a galaxy currently in a struggle for power. Humanity is thrust into the center stage as the deciding factor, with one power wanting to enslave the fledgling race, and the other wanting some hidden goal with them. But they are not all alone, as humanity finds itself strange bedfellows with the outcast races of the Galaxy.

With everyone looking at them, however, they need to make their moves carefully, as does Amelia herself, lest the limelight illuminate the dark past they have both tried to hide.
