Beyond the Veil, New Horizon’s first fully immersive Sandbox VRMMORPG features elective storylines, revolutionary character progression, and the latest in AI development. Closed betas describe the game as “terrifyingly realistic,” and “like no other game on the market.”

Joe doesn’t really care much about any of this when he strongarms a mob-boss into getting him New Horizon’s latest and (if reviews are to be believed) greatest creation. What Joe wants is the rig the game comes with. The actual latest, and greatest in virtual reality, bio-tech, and neural mapping. This brand new subdermal gaming console is going to skyrocket his productivity, help him complete his own research on human-overclocking, and maybe even help him get a scholarship. That, or he could sell the tech, and probably keep his family fed and uplink’d for the next 70 years.

Maybe, he’ll even enjoy playing the game with his persistent best friend, Em. But it doesn’t take either of them long to discover that the game itself is so much more than they could have ever imagined.
