- MollyCindersRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I really like the characters! I hope you post more, I could see myself getting attached to them. It would be perfect if you went into more detail describing things, like are the cells old cobblestone style or more modern? Etc. just landscape stuff like that. Dalhia seems like an underdog badass kind of character, and inej doesnt know how much she needs her yet. I really liked your writing style, but I found it hard to read in the beginning when inej was thinking to herself. The switch to 'I' statements from 'she' statements was a little weird, but if it were in italics it would be fine. Woohoo lol. I found the dialogue to mesh well when there was a conversation, and it was a smooth read overall. When you described the gross guard licking inej's face it was so gross but so well done. I was like oh yuck this is vivid. The opposition of the 2 girls thinking was a good idea. Inej is more of a pessimist, but dalhia wants a better world. They're perfect opposites, and they compliment each other well. Dalhia was the perfect way for them to escape, so they'd actually know the way. Obviously Inej is very intelligent, since she never tried to escape before she knew she could make it. I enjoyed it! Will be watching for an update. :)
