Really fun read - progression fantasy/sci-fi of a superhero/villain in training. Interesting world building and system use. Lots of directions for the story to go as the characters and setting are fleshed out. I will be visiting the author's Patreon soon. It's a page turner and I'm loving the story so far!

Probably the best hero setting story i have read, with actual working world building.
It you have read other stories by macronomicon you will enjoy this one too. If not give it a try it's his best work yet.
One of the few stories that make me laugh out loud.

Exciting story with humour. Smart characters acting smart. Author is perhaps a little (sorry!) too keen on detailed new magic systems, but they are self consistent enough to build a solid setting, and details of the system are relevant to the character and story arcs,
I love this story, and the author’s other works.
Flirts with tropes, but only takes a few of them home. The others have a nice night, and remember it fondly, with a smile.

One of my favorite stories on RR. I have followed along on this adventure for a long while now. I'm sad to see it end, but nothing goes on forever.
...unless you also exist outside of our space-time.
I've been reading a lot of Macro's stories, and they always have great consistency and storytelling. Very happy that this one got an ending.

Story is a lot of fun and sometimes distractingly out in left field but I always feel like I'm geing told the story by a charming bard with a smile on their face.  If you want straight lace serious grimmy quasi-reality, you are probably on the wrong site and this is definately the wrong story.  But it you want a good time, come on in the water's fine

I don't have too much to say that other reviews haven't already said more eloquently, but this is a very lighthearted story set in a fairly dark world.  The last bastions of humanity are constantly assailed by devastating threats, and yet everyone has time for zany superhero shenanigans.
Macronomicon's signature weirdness of how the MC thinks makes for a lot of strange but very fun plots, and I really love it.

So, very fun premise with his parents basically bickering over who gets to give him super powers. Both of them screwing up massively in one way or another in the process. But that's still unfolding. The day to day is a lot more slice of life-y, like sure he has a nemesis and the apocalypse is actively occuring, but that's no excuse not to have fun at the gym, or geek out with friends about this cool lair they found

I have read a few of the author's books, but this is my favorite.   Magic/sci-fi/superhero/system universe with a bit of polygamy thrown in for spice.  If this sounds like your thing, give it a read, you won't regret it.  It is well written, has good pacing, and interesting characters.

I'm not the best a describing stuff so I'll just say this:
This type of "OP hero with wacky antics that still has to improve to be deadly" is the type of story I've been looking for for a long time. I'd say it's a more light hearted version of The Perfect Run, in terms of how characters act. I seriously think that if you've somehow found this specific review among all the others, you've seen enough to justify reading this. This story is pretty damn good.

The world building is fascinating and believable. The magic/tech system is inspired. Detailed and well thought out. The story is interesting and the characters are varied and fun. The protagonist is flawed enough to be believable but redeemable and relatable enough to want to follow along.
I wish there were more stories of this quality.
And I love the  horrific abominations the protagonist creates! Approaching old style magic with the soul of an engineer.
