- EmenbRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Personally, this book was quite an enjoyable read and I would generally recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxed and casual story that is different from the usual high-paced extremely cliche novels.
For the Author,
Style Score. From a broad perspective, I feel as though the style of writing was given much thought especially since the author used an entire chapter to understand the general opinion of a reader. Honestly speaking, the author is simply inexperienced. That being said, the only thing that's preventing me from giving full marks to the style is because it isn't consistent with the first and last chapter. This means that you can actually witness with your own eyes how the author improves his writing with each chapter and with it adopts a style specific to this story. 4/5
Story. I don't think I have ever read something exactly like this. It's not a cliche 'Zero to Hero' journey but instead a slower-paced and interesting read that really wasn't designed to adhere to appeal to the masses albeit with some similarities to those sorts of stories. To elaborate, it being slower-paced just means that the author isn't overwhelming you with journies, quests, missions, abilities, magic, races, cultures, enemies, explosions, fighting, and so on, but instead comfortably adds these elements at a normal pace. 5/5
Grammar. Spelling mistakes, punctuation, and oddly expressed sentences exist. They don't affect the actual story at all but you probably will notice a good few of them unless you're skimming through the story. Not frequent enough to be irritating but common enough for you to acknowledge them. Improves in the later chapters. This is very subjective to your own opinion but personally, 3/5.
Character Score. This is a tricky one to review without spoiling the story if you've read the story you'll understand where I am coming from. To put it plainly, the title speaks for itself, 'In Search of a Protagonist', meaning that the main character is subjected to change,
