- woodssaayyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0absolute harem master please! Loving the chapters so far! Keep em' coming! And as stated previously. Please for the love of Shang give him a Harem! Nanami in the lead!
- akasuna123Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is amazing i love yasuri nanami no harem please.
- QuaintRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0It starts if kinda sudden and doesn't give us much background for the mc. I haven't seen the first anime he goes to and it feels kinda rushed, but I like it.
- Arashi ZarosRoyal Road★★★ 3.0aside from the cons that the J_I_M_S have told, this show how detailed the author have been in going through and changing bits and pieces of the various plotlines without totally upending the entire story and also not pulling the "OP Do what I want Fanfic" stuff that usually comes along. Instead, the mc is an external factor from a legitimate another worlds.(it become more clear in his second world he visit, the "Tian Long Ba Bu")
- NasorrenRoyal Road★★★ 3.0The story has great potential with the system for a shopkeeper. But it was the editing is too unforgiving to read. I would suggest the author to try grammarly but your call
All the best - SnowonereadslikemeRoyal Road★★★ 2.5could be interesting a kind of multi-verse shop keeper but hard to read and get into more of something you skim through and take nothing from the last chapter you read.
- j_i_m_sRoyal Road★★ 2.0So... solid concept that I feel could be lots of fun to read about. But I'm scratching my head at chapter 7 and asking... who, what, when, why?! I lose track of who's who, what are people doing, the function and significance of certain actions and items and the whole
Shang's thoughts: Interesting.
Shang: I'll be taking that!
It's sort of like a script (not a bad thing)? But with no details as to what the surroundings and charaters look like
Spoiler: Spoiler
it's super dialogue heavy. The story sort of drops you into a world expecting you to know what's up because it's based off an anime, novel or whatever.
It's cool and all but it makes it tough to get into when a bunch of charaters pop up and then you're at a loss as to why you should care. Either lengthen the chapters by making the MC go over what he remembers about the plot and describing the surroundings/charcters or add something into the Authors Notes like a list of names and a short description of each person.
The story isn't unreadable, it is however hard to digest. Read the first two chapters to get a feel for the novel, also I imagine less of this review will apply to those who know the setting in which the MC travels to. Second to last, no harem please.
I hope this is constructive and helpful to whoever reads this. - YinkoRoyal Road★ 1.0Obviously the script writing style, the grammar and many other small things like that are major demerits. However, I think the think I disliked the most was how the entire premise of the story radically changed after the first arc.
In the Katanagatari arc the premise of the story was collecting skills and items while following the romance of the protagonist with Nanami Yasuri. This worked really well, but then the arc ended and he ditched his wife in a shop so he could run off alone.
In all the arcs after that the premise changes to pointlessly interacting with the plots of various stories and gaining harems. Not much focus on gaining power on screen, it all happens in the background so he can pull new things out of his ass constantly, and the notion for how and why women fall in love with the moronic persona he adopts is really lacking. Later on arcs start inserting OCs from still more fandoms for no reason.
Basically, first arc was heavily flawed, but interesting, all subsequent arcs are utter trash.
