- selexieRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0It's still to early too praise the novel, as I'm only in chapter 9 and the chapters is kinda short. The premise is very interesting and I find the protagonist refreshing, in that he is not a loner with a superiority complex(as reincarnation stories usually have).
- DarkCodyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I'm hoping the story doesn't take the path where the MC is always right and can't make mistakes. I hope that with how OP I currently see the MC as, and with the amount of influence he can exert on the world around him, that he makes mistakes and learns from them. I'd like to see him grow.
But that's me. I'm really just hoping the story doesn't try justifying all his words and actions. I understand he's got his point of view, but that doesn't mean it's always right. And it doesn't have to mean it's wrong either, because I love gray areas, where I decide if I think it's right or wrong without the story trying to force me one way or the other.
But I really do like the story so far. We've got a strong lead, and I see future potential. A while back I studied the Roman Empire, Republic, and Kingdom when I was trying to write a story based off it, so I can't wait to see what else is added and make those connections. The speed of the updates are great as well.
PS: I suck at commas. - Ezra IrehearthRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0And idea commonly used in Webnovels today, especially on RRL but executed so nicely that it gives the genre a refreshing feel.
I read it twice so far and I'm about to read the chapters again in hopes of appeasing my hunger for the next release. - nugyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Only a few chapters, but the grammar is good, details are not over the top and even though its only the start seems interesting ;p
- CalaventeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0this story arrived to completion after 3 tries, 2 full rewrites.
the end result is really satisfying.
the MC grows a bit and is confronted to the results of his initial actions and thoughts.
I only wanted him to be a little bit more "bendable" :)
I hope you'll keep us informed when you'll write a new story ! - PelaniusRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I Found this Story just today an in my normal look trough of all the latest Updates and i am Happy i Found this Story. It is Hard for me to find Story that i live and your Story is on of the few i really Like.
- ianisomegaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Despite having several rewrites of the entire thing, it is a very good novel. While the novel has issues with grammar/syntax, what novel doesn't? The setting and plot are exciting and different and my only real issue is the numerous rewrites that would result in the entire novel being deleted and rewritten in a new way. If what the author says is true, then hopefully this time is the final. If it isn't, then you better read what is written already because it could dissapear in a moment. Asside from the issues like the ones I have stated, this is one of the best novels that I have read here and one of only 3 I have bookmarked and subscribed to.
- PurpleEyeRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5As of chapter 9 part 2
Another rewrite, another age of complete roman domination! Many times I have read this story and many times it has been rewritten and yet it has always maintained its glorious latin quality and this time too I'm eager to see the new Roman Age.
The style is fluent, focusing on dialogue and character interaction/thoughts but without sacrificing atmosphere and it pulls you along nicely. Its greatest strength is its powerful ability to always make you wonder what will happen next and what this treacherous world has in store for our protagonist.
The story, through the various rewrites, has focused more and more on character interaction and the consequences of Roman world domination and in no version is this better represented than this one. The theme of karma is a bitch is strong in this one and the consequences of Gaius' (glorious) rampage have never been more important. His relation with his Divine Legionnaires has changed too, for they are no longer eternally loyal subjects, or mere NPCs (unless it's Minerva), they are people whose loyalty has to be gained, either with apples or a declaration of imperial love! So yes, this good, very good.
As far as the characters, it's too early to get a full grasp on them, though as I've already said, the road is open for greatness. Roman greatness, built upon the backs and corpses of lesser, simpler stereotypical characters.
About grammar, nothing to say. It's great, no problems. Though I read as fast as a flying cheetah on cocaine so I tend to miss mistakes.
And with this, what you must do is obvious: kneel to the imperial greatness of this story and read it or face eternal boredom by lesser stories!
So in summary: pretty good. - Laurence_KingRoyal Road★★★ 3.0The story over all is good some questionable moments here and there but over good.
Characters are all pretty well developted if not a bit stiff at times.
Gaius himself is to say the least an interesting character but towards the end makes some questionable choices for a leader of an empire.
If your looking for a quick read about a gamer coming to terms that he was an asshole and now he has to live with his choices in the game world than give this a read
