In a world of wizards, dragons, mind reading moles, and a spire that stretches to the very heavens, one would think that every other powerful wizard would had attained immortality, but the life of a budding immortal is often short-lived.

Owen was as average of an alchemist as they came, and if not for his recent internship at one of the more prestigious labs in the lands his whole life would not amount to more than a few footnotes in some dusty tomes. Awakening within a vat of concentrated hydrochloric acid after clocking in for another shift was not mentioned in his induction guide, but the mountain of a man dragging him out of it does not seem to care.
