You don't usually see stories written in this style on Royal Road. There's a dreamlike flow to it that has a the feel of a book you'd study in a class but with the fantastical elements that we are all familiar with on Royal Road. There is very much a Lord of the Flies type situation at first with a plethora of characters introduces in the first few chapters. The characters are highly unique and distinct (as is the story concept in and of itself). It's a story that you can quite literally get lost in if you are not careful
Both the story and setting is wrought in mystery in the initial chapters with the readers imagination running wild with the possibilities. The dialog between the characters flows naturally and you're never at a loss for knowing who's who (even if the characters sometimes are). The main character usually refers to them as the form they've taken in this new dream world they've foudn themselves in so it's relatively easy to keep track..
There's nothing nothing noticeably distacting about the dialog and at no points did I feel my immersion break due to typos, grammar or syntax mistakes.
Would definitely recommend this story for anyone who is looking for a wild mystery ride through an atmospheric dream space.

This story takes it a bit more slowly than normal. Do I have anything against that? God, no. I love it. Actually seeing what they are thinking, knowing why they are doing what they do, and the occainsiol random observation that becomes later on is what I call perfect mixing. There's nothing better than a fiction where I can relate to the people within,
Good work on the personality as well, though. It could be more the larger focus that did this novel well but who cares. It's good. Read it.

This story is giving me Metro 2033 vibes (or should I say vines ? ;p).
The story follows a triant, and his classmates who have all been transformed in more ways than one. There is dungeon exploration, intrigue, and a missing kid named Henry.
I recommend this story to any fans of dungeon crawls, atmospheric horror, or classroom reincarnation stories 😄

Opening: The beginning is very intriguing. We don't understand anything at all, except for one thing: all the MC’s classmates have turned into “unusual” creatures. The first chapter leaves us with lots of questions, but the author, moving through this dark and dangerous tunnel called "questions glut", was able to find a balance, feeding the reader a few answers. And the bonus, a very interesting ending. And looking ahead, I will say that I am glad that in the second chapter the author started with the main question that was spinning in my head after the end of the first chapter.
Story + Characters: Whether in books, movies, or TV series, I've always been scared of the large volume of acting characters. There are several reasons for this. The first and most important is that they reveal themselves superficially and sometimes just disappear from the plot, and when they come back, you try to remember who it was. From the first chapters, this story made me worry about it. Next comes a big "BUT!". Somehow, probably due to the bright memorable properties of the characters and their appearance, the author managed to avoid this pit. While the plot was developing, I never got lost. The characters are easy to remember, in this lost kingdom they all have their own unique skills, which are related to their characters in real life, which the author describes through the thoughts of the protagonist. It's dynamic, and it's interesting to follow. At the end of the day, you won't get bored!
Style: Eh... Well... lately I've been seeing books in the first person more and more. Sometimes, it looks more like the third POV. The authors do not put in any vivid descriptions. In the dialogues, MC speaks with one character and the descriptions with another. I am happy to assure future readers, there is no such thing here.
The paragraphs are mostly short, they are easy to read. Descriptions are diluted with dialogs and vice versa.
Conclusion: This book has become an amazin

What's the first thing you do when you wake up in a strange place and find our all your classmates have been turned into creatures/objects that align with their desires? Check. Your. Hands. Or find a mirror. Or ask someone what you look like. But I guess it's a little like when you have some food stuck in your teeth--if someone doesn't mention it right away, it becomes awkward to mention it fifteen minutes later.
Here we have a really interesting story of a style I haven't seen much of on Royal Road. It has a sort of fairtyale feel to it, where our protagonist and all his friends wake up in an unfamiliar place, far from home, and have to figure out what the hell is going on.
Why have they become what they have? Why are they where they are? What are they meant to be doing? Where's Henry? Who's getting in everyone's heads with mind control? The author sets up a number of mysteries almost immediately and gives very little insight into the answers in the first few chapters. There always more to find out and discover.
There's a large cast of characters, all of them sort of weird in their own way. It's unique that they get their own powers based on the form they take (one character named Leo has become a fluffy ball who can multiply, another is a floating book that has magic that feels more like traiditonal spells, etc). It's fun finding out what they can do, and you're never lost as to who's who, as our protagonist usually refers to them as their form.
There are some places where the grammar needs a bit of fixing up, but nothing distacting. I think the story would benefit from having some of the denser paragraphs split up, but otherwise nothing really breaks the flow.
If you're interested in a mystery story with a lot of cool abilities and fun characters, I think this read is for you.

Interesting and mysterious start. The characters all have their own personalities and are well described. I wish there were more dialogues to display their characters and not only the MC's thought and descriptions of the events. But the pace is fast, and you easily get sucked into the storyline.
However, I sometimes find it hard to understand. Some sentences don't follow each other and the multiple two lines paragraphs makes it harder to read.

This is a story filled with mystery, where more questions appear before others are answered, drawing you in.  Where your body is not your own, and perhaps your name is another mystery to be solved...
Style: Very beautifully written in some parts, where the prose flows naturally.  Dialogue is well written, characters' personalities clearly coming through.   Sometimes sentences were worded oddly, and the style would really shine with just a bit more conciseness.
Story: A very unique story, one that deserves applause.  Switching bodies, new places, days seeming to pass when it might have only been hours.  The dreamland that calls when the mc falls asleep is a place that might not be reality, but offers more answers than the real world.  All are tied together in an intricate web that snares you in and has you begging for answers.
Grammar: I saw some punctuation errors, mostly around dialogue.  There were some missing words that made sentences incomplete, but otherwise, it was fine.
Character: You have a large host of characters, ones that are all unique and carefully crafted.  Sometimes I wish more time was spent on different characters, since they are all so interesting and thought out.  The mc is also greatly fleshed out, his thoughts and views clearly coming out through the story.  He is the most familiar to us, the reader, but he is also the most mysterious.
A very intriguing story, one that has my brain working overtime to tie together all the secrets the author is craftily weaving in.  Mysteries run abound, and I recommend this story to those who enjoy that along with an expanding world whose reason for existing is still unknown.

This is a very original and fresh concept.  It's very ethereal and dreamy, with a nice hint of mystery to it as well.
Style score: I really like the style! The perspective remains the same and consistent, and it flows pretty well! The only complaint I have is that the dialogue sometimes feels clunky and not natural, but it could be chalked up to the fact some kids got dropped into a random place as animals and other creatures.
Story score: Right from the beginning, the author reels us in with an interesting idea: what if everybody became animals? The MC becoming an animal isn't exactly new, but an entire classroom? That's definitely something else. The author drops a ton of mysteries on us that makes us want to keep flipping the page to find the answers. Placing them in an unknown place also gives them the primary objective of getting out safely. However, there are times when I feel it's a bit rushed, making me scratch my head. Even though I enjoyed everything, at the end of the first part, I was confused about what happened.
Grammar score: The spelling was near-flawless. I couldn't find a single problem. It was the dialogue that was the problem. Instead of finishing a dialogue with something like, "he said" or "she exclaimed", the author oftentimes just headed straight into the action. This would have been fine, except the author also didn't capitalize the next sentence, which made it feel disjointed. This wasn't for all of it, not at all! It just happened enough times it caught my attention.
Character score: The MC is a very complex individual, and we get to see him fleshed out and read his thoughts. The author was very ambitious and made it so an entire classroom worth of people was added to the story. Considering just how many people there were, it would be exceedingly difficult to go in-depth about all of them. While they all had their quirks, we never got to learn more about them before something happened. I have a feeling that many of the characters were adde

I Was Green is an incredibly unique story for Royal Road. Our character wakes up with no idea where they are, only to discover that they and their friends have been chamged into something else.
Mysteries come thick and fast, and the tone of the story is dreamlike bordering on outright trippy, which is an incredibly fresh feel for a RR fic. The prose is generally good, but could use some editing in places as there are some inconsistencies and redunduncies that reduce clarity and bog down the flow of individual paragraphs.
Generally speaking though, really intrigued to see where this story is headed!
