Craven Falls has a serial killer stalking the streets. Amber should know, she's the latest victim. Dead but not gone, her ghost settles in to haunt the cemetery when the literal chance of a lifetime comes by in the middle of the night: a classmate of hers, Scott Havenbrook. Showing up with a shovel, it turns out he's a practitioner of the mystical art of necromancy, and can revive her-for a price. But before he can, they must find the killer in order to put everything right, while a sinister plot takes shape in the darkness. Can they save her before it's too late?

- totankforuRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0read it on another site (SB) and again here, its a fresh witty take on with a story that full of humour, action and adventure that you picture in your mind. 10/10 The main character is someone that is acts within the realm of human expections with for some one of his age and upbringing. The Necromancy part is integral to the story and used in my opinion correctly, but even with out it I could see the characters in a slice of life type story.
- SlappaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0It was great. The personality of Scott alone was worth it. The interplay was also amazing Also, his ultimate, grand plan? That was beyond inspired. Just read it, you will not regret it. Seriously. Do it. I mean it. Truly. Phone reviewing sucks. Ugh. Why. I guess it meandered at points?

10/10 would pilot zombie juggernauts and flying ghostships again! - That_one_guy_behindRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Really good story that is worth a shot at reading,it starts off strong and its pretty constant with its action, tho it could use a grammar rewrite every now and then.
I reccomend it and i must say,the fact it has a second book ( the necromancer raids again) that is also completed definetly helps a lot
10 outta 10 - obranRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is a bit like early Jim Butcher lite where Harry Dresden is still in High School. He's got the police liaison, the supernatural murder mystery that only someone with magical powers can help solve. He's got the sidekick in the form of a 16-year-old girl ghost.
It doesn't have the Butcher humor yet and the politics of the wider worlkd of Wizard / Faerie / Warlock, society isn't there. Keep in mind this isn't really urban fantasy but it has its roots in that pond.
Definitely recommended. - MaulisiusRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Great read, enjoyable story, believable characters.
Keep up the good work! - FyreflyRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Overall, an amazing story. I've noticed a few spelling and grammatical errors but it's entirely readable. The main characters are very strong and dynamic, they feel and talk like real high schoolers. The story is the strongest part of this fiction. The author keeps it tightly controlled: the story is basically a single long arc so far without all of those little side tangents you usually see from amatuer writers. Every chapter has a purpose. My biggest complaint is the shifts from serious to off-the-wall comedy. I feel like the comedy is welcome during the quieter moments, but an unwelcome addition to the climax of an arc.
- blaze262Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5An amazing story. I'm glad for RR's new recommended section as I don't think I would've found this, especially since it's been completed over 2 years ago. This is a great young adult, coming of age fantasy story.
It's very light hearted, but each character buckles down and flows with the story as it progresses. Which is both a good and bad point for the style. A little more drama and comedy on both ends, would've highlighted the characters personality and growth.
The story is amazing, from the start to finish.
For grammar, I suggest going back and reading it, minor flaws here and there, but jarring on such a masterpiece that every mistake is assentuated.
I love your characters, all of them are unique and varied, but I again wish there was a little more character growth. - BlueBezerkRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5This book i one of the greatest iv read on this site.
The few gripes I have(other than the comedy feels messed placed but still side punching) are small and can be summed up to my prefrenses.
SO READ IT - SlimeActionRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I'm following this story for a long time, so I'm having fan glass on in reviewing this. You might strap in because this story invite you for a ride. With your safety belt as your tour guide. It is not a "random lol" story. It is bizzare. It is a reality. It have so many things that refused go into singular genre. All in all pack into 1 story about a teenager who somehow manage to become necromancer. For profit. Oh, some apocalypse also happened to spice things up.
