Description
This is an Alternate History Genre
I, the unemployed, who graduated from Oxford and majored in History and Economics, was dead in a car accident. But, I was born again, as a son of Blood Mary and Felipe II, a person who didn't exist in history.
In order to survive and secure my throne, after winning the civil war which occured right after the death of Bloody Mary, I have burned my competitor/my aunt Elizabeth - who would have become Elizabeth I, the 2nd popular queen after Queen Victoria - to death, and decided to become greater ruler than her.
I will be the king of Great Britain, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, France and Itlay - the king of 6 realms - using my historic and economic knowledge and my Tudor, Habsburg lineage as a claim for those crowns.
No one, nothing, shall stop me.

- KnullRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The best historical fiction I ever read. While there are small grammatical mistakes here amd there, they become rarer as you progress into the story. A lot of research has been done to make the story historically accurate upto a certain point (by the author). It properly captures the intrigue and drama of ruling and kept me hooked for years. So, read it if you are craving historical fiction and have come to this website.
- SrayanRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Alternate history is not a common genre on RRL. the author should flag this one for "blood and guts"as It literally starts with a massacre. Plausible but needs a flag.
The narrative is unusual in style in the early chapters - it's mostly a "Dear Diary, this is what I did in 15xx or 16xx". Lots of exposition in early chapters and not much dramatic dialogue initially. This changes to a more dramatic style in later chapters.
The MC does have struggles, loss and poignant moments, even though (Ibecause?) he is a ruthless S.O.B. But he comes across as very human as story goes on. There is one element that is hard to understand given his modern nature - which is how his relationship with his daughter fails (I won't spoil it more than that). This adds a lot of drama, tension and poignancy. And is the true focal point as his story after that arc ends is a "victory March".
The politics and economics are interesting - a strong point. This "time traveller" has little technical/ scientific or even military knowledge, but lots of economic/ organisational knowledge.
This work is apparently translated into English, which is slightly apparent early on, but i]I found it quite understandable.
This story is more traditional alternate history. A single normal event is different (in a normal way) - not crazy physics like in 1632. This is an entirely plausible timeline. But as a result of the "fork event" history is greatly affected.
In this Story the fork event is Queen Mary's pregnancy - which was a phantom pregnancy in our timeline - but results in a Son and therefore an inheritor.
Recall that there is no way Queen Elizabeth 1 would have been crowned Queen if there had been any reasonable male inheritor, even if he had been a tot. This was in the Bad old Salic law days you see. Which is a factor in the MCs family as well.
Come to think of it I think primogeniture for a female heir has just been passed into law in the last few years in the UK. 21st Century UK FTW!!!! Or better late th
