Love the story and how it deal with being undead, if a bit "touchy feely" for me.

As of now at chapter 21 the story does have its ups and downs, but what story doesn't. Although there is a point where it deviates from the original story line of the undead, it  back to it you just have patience. If he was still a skeleton how would he be accepted and saved after almost dying? Overall the story is interesting to follow and I enjoy it. I know that's a personal statement but I suggest that if you find the first part interesting and want to drop it just keep reading to chapter 20 at least. Give it a chance you might find its not what you thought it was.
Keep it up author and write what you want.

It would seem that this story is written by not one, but two authors. It's the first time I've seen a collaborative webnovel, to be honest. I'm rather fond of the few published novel collaborations that I've read (excepting the Wheel of Time's later volumes, if those count). This was definitely an interesting experience.
The plot twist that resulted of this collaboration was a pretty severe one. It was severe enough to take me completely by surprise--and therefore make me extremely excited about this series. I'm like one of those cliche invincible warriors who gets hotblooded when some weakling mortal draws blood--I love a story that is able to catch me unawares. It's like a great joke.
Unfortunately, it seems that neither the author(s) nor the other readers were particularly enthused about this. Things changed again, but considerably less suddenly. At that point, it just felt like it was inconsistent. The author(s) introduced, and discarded, new characters way too fast, and the setting changed quickly as well.
I've caught up to chapter 22, the most recent chapter (released over 4 months ago). I don't think that this series is a failure--just that the plot became unstable. Collaborations are uncommon for a reason, after all. Perhaps a rewrite from scratch (or at least, from the Big Twist) would do the story, and the author, some good. Or perhaps not.
Cheers for the hard work, and thank you for the treat.
