- Sleepy Sad SnailRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Light, airy and sweet. Perfect tea read.
Story:
I believe that it's still an early after-prologue and SoL genre is prone to clichés, but as long as they're handled properly - a story is saved. In my opinion, an author is managing these masterfully so far. Scenes are well portrayed and rich in appropriate details.
My main issue is that a short backstory of main character - 'Beauty' - nearly directly translates into a tale of an ugly duckling.
It somehow serves as a tool to enrich a girl, but at the same time - halts a growth and diminishes value of achievements. It appears a little wishful and unrealistic.
Spoiler: Spoiler
Losing weight? Prince charming to the rescue.
Cooking? A rich and influential ex-bully in 'love'.
Plot armor as thick as her former self.
Characters: No major issues. It still develops, so opinion is prone to change, but they are as distinct as the plot allows.
Style: Adequate & Good, which certainly makes it above average. Five is reserved for standouts.
Grammar: I'm not an expert. My rule is simple. If I can understand an author, story gets a max score.
