I Have A Dagger

Description

Bored, I browsed my spam folder. I clicked on some interesting spam, summoning me to another world. All I have is this dagger:

[Dagger]

Broad leaf blade made by a dwarf blacksmith while drinking. Hilt slapped on by an elf high on shrooms. The handle is pleasantly smooth, which makes for a terrible gripping experience. Upgradeable, if you upgrade it.

Has a chance of killing something if you stab said something in the right place.

Fully editable Google Doc for the whole story.

I think this falls into the Isekai meta category. The protagonist has a dagger, is a dagger, relates to the world through daggering. It's pretty amusing, also a little dark. I liked it. It ends at a slightly odd moment, but I don't think the story could change significantly. It felt like the protagonist found a place in the world, and maybe it wasn't secure, and it might go badly, but there were unlikely to be any big upsets. And the author got bored of the leveling system by that point, so there wasn't even the point of having more levels.
it's also a light fun read.

So you've suddenly appeared in another world. What do you do? Why do you do it? This story seems to be willing to explore these kinds of questions.
It's too early to judge the story, however, the characterization is quite good.
The characters are complex and well thought out. The princess isn't just a cardboard cut out. The main characters are fleshed out and enjoyable. The side characters are just that - side characters, are only fleshed out to the extent required.
The grammar is good. I didn't notice any major errors.
I will update this review after there are a few more chapters to judge the story.
