Sitting at his desk Flynn struggles to stay awake during a college lecture. As he jerks his head to stay awake his mind becomes more distant until his body finally collapses.

When Flynn wakes up he opens his eyes and feels his head is on the floor. Confused he tries to pick himself up but can't feel his arms and legs, quickly scanning the room in a state of confusion he can see what looks like a ritual of sorts and a dying old man staring down at him.
