Dec 25 - On holiday break.Rewrite in progress(1/53 chapters in progress)
Shi Qi spent decades building her career, only to be unfairly retrenched and then hit by a car. When she wakes up, she’s five-year-old and the illegitimate daughter of a noble family, abandoned under the excuse of an “incurable illness.”
Instead of staying forgotten, she shamelessly returns, armed with wit, cuteness, and forty years of experience. Survival isn’t easy when you have a scheming stepmother, two noble sisters who despise her and a golden-eyed prince who is far too interested in her.
Well..things were going well until she accidentally woke the Spirit King…

- JaricvennRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The story flows well and is definitely a fun read, our heroine has an amusing belief that her own cuteness will overcome the trails she faces, and justifies her actions. It seems to work but not always for the reasons she believes. Will definitely read more. You are left with the feeling that she might just trip a plot landmine at any moment.
- SapientXRoyal Road★★ 2.0It blends Xianxia themes with modern sensibilities and a quirky Main Character. But the narrative tension is not properly developed. While there are a few genuinely funny moments, it then crosses the border into something else less interesting and less amusing. Maybe a great attempt for a beginning author, but it lacks the polish of a seasoned writer.
- NEOrdinaryRoyal Road★★ 1.5Take this with a grain of salt as the story might get better but so far everything feels extremely rushed.
I would mark this for spoilers but I've read for like at most 20mins.
I'm 8 chapters in (8 very short chapters) and already:
- the MC died and got reborn
- lived in poverty
- discovered their power
- met the (assumed) love interest or rival or whatever
- met their evil stepmother and is now back in the main family
It's just so fast paced I don't even get to learn about the characters or form any kind of opinion about them. As I am writing this I don't even remember the MCs name as it hasn't come up enough to actually remember it.
Like I said maybe the ideas coming up in the story are good but I cannot enjoy the story if I feel like there is a time limit. I also like the concept of this extremely calculating (and maybe a bit ruthless?) little girl, but I haven't been able to really enjoy it.
If you want you should probably still give the story a try and read for a bit to form your own opinion as it will not take long.
