William Claridge, the heir to the Malakoff name, disappeared on Christmas Eve, 2002. Now, in the winter of 2019, his elder cousin, Marco, continues to seek the truth. To aide in the search, he hires Noël Mikkelsen and a strange but remarkable man called Will, who coincidentally shares the Malakoff name. Together, they tap into a vein of unimaginable evil, terror, and deceit, and find that the truth is more than only skin deep.
