Description

In a world plagued by the calamity of gates, five heroes are summoned to save the planet.

The Sword Hero, Spear Hero, Shield Hero, Spell Hero, and the Bow Hero.

Each hero forms a party and sets out to rid the world of the gates, the bridge between the human and demon dimensions.

The Sword Hero accepts an ordinary level two orphan teenage boy, Ingal, into his party due to unexpected circumstances.

Ingal sets out with the Sword Hero's Party as an ordinary member with the sole duty of carrying their luggage.

Months roll by and Sword Hero Morningster Accomplishes feat after feat, growing stronger, saving kingdoms, defeating boss monsters of gates, and closing them.

However, as time passes, he begins to question if these victories are truly his.

He questions why he awakes at certain periods to find the corpses of powerful boss monsters before the gates without any memory as to how he defeated them.

A constant occurrence was the face of the smiling teenage boy he would awaken to...

"Sword Hero Morningster has once more defeated the boss of the gate and saved the people," Ingal would sing his praises the moment he regained consciousness.

Really enjoying the story, and the writing is so easy to understand because of the excellent grammar!  😀
I enjoy revisiting the trope plot of hero summoning, but wirhbthe added spice of a secret op anti-hero/ villain "helping".
Without spoiling anything for other readers, the main character's memory-loss is well played, because it would be unrealistic to suffer abuse like that otherwise.
Thanks, can't wait for the next chapter!

Loving the story so far! It has a lot of potential and I'm loving the different (to me) take on the [insert weapon] Hero genre! There's still a lot of mystery and I enjoy that at least most of the heroes we've met seem to be relatively decent people. Looking forward to more :)

Interesting premise. Somewhat cliche with the Isekai / Returner / Old monster genres that float around, but its got an interesting twist and I’m very curious to see what that will mean for the story.
Hopefully the author lets a little more info slip about whats going on soon, as right now I could see it getting very interesting.

My main issue with this story is the writing, both in terms of grammar (particularly verb tense and plurals) and style. It reads like a non-native speaker wrote it. It's got very Chinese novel constructions, lots of "As expected of the hero!" type phrases that native English speakers wouldn't generally use, but these are not the issue. The issue is stuff like this (from the first chapter, so no real spoilers):
The young teenage boy ignored the voices of concern in the background and jumped onto the cart but in the next instant...
    Bam!
A feet crashed into his chest and along with it came a tone filled with disgust.
"Don't sully me with your dirtiness,"
The voice drifted into his ears the moment he fell off the cart due to the unexpected kick.
Upon landing on his butt, the sound of laughter could be heard coming from the side.
    "Serves him right."
"Haha, as expected of Sir Bright."
"I knew he wouldn't be allowed to come close to Sword Hero Morningster."
"Bright, I told you to play nice," Sword Hero Morningster said to the bald brown-skinned man sitting on the right side of the cart.
"He would have rubbed me with his dirtiness. Can't get the ladies if I smell like the latrine," Bright responded while pulling the helms of his pale green jacket together.
Here there are a bunch of linguistic issues all put together that I think make this book not worth reading. First, the 'feet' that crashes into his chest, rather than a foot. The rest of the sentence conveys the idea but is also poorly constructed. "Don't sully me with your dirtiness" and "He would have rubbed me with his dirtiness" also simply do not work. They're not strictly wrong, but they're ugly phrases that no one would actually say in English. There's more wrong with this I won't bother getting into; the longer you look at it, the worse it gets. Jackets don't have helms. Good lord the whole book is like this, it doesn't get better.
You'll also notice the descriptions, here. People are always being described as "th

I don’t like leaving bad reviews, but this…needs a lot of work. The constant typos, bad grammar, bad prose, generic descriptions, and one-dimensional characters…the premise could be interesting, but this needs a complete rewrite. I hate to discourage someone if they’re just starting out, but maybe try joining some of the author group discords to get some feedback and mentorship

Starting off, I never leave reviews, but I’ve been so starved for content that I took the plunge on this since I saw it on rising stars and boy was I disappointed. The plot is filled with tropes- nothing is truly original or interesting or pulls you in, as a review I’ve now seen notes, it reads like a Chinese web novel translation, poor English, using 3 words when one word would do the trick. The dialogue is extremely rough, every time a character speaks, without fail, it pulls me out of the story and I have to stop and think “no human being who speaks English would ever say this seriously” yet these characters continuously speak the most heinously un-English sentences imaginable .
onto the characters, or lack thereoff- at least true original hand crafted ones. All of them are stale, unimaginative and one dimensional. I don’t care about them, they’re gross caricatures and unbelievable.
this book suffers greatly from the Webnovel syndrome, as I see many of the books over on the webnovel app do, they are poorly written, and for some reason stylistically or unintentionally prefer to write the story as if it was an Chinese to English translation, it’s just unenjoyable personally, but I know many are fine with it.
in short, if you want to read something seriously, I would recommend literally almost anything other than this. The kind of style I suppose this novel is supposed to cater to is in a far different wheelhouse than many royal road readers.
