I am Chun

Facing slow defeat in a genocidal war, Chun's people develop a last defense against their Skrit enemies. The proposed solution is an artifact capable of sending messages back and forth through time. There is no magical way to send a person through time, so Chun is selected to enter a long sleep. He expects to wake after ten years, and collect the information his people need to win their war. Instead he sleeps for seventeen thousand years, waking among strange people who know nothing of his world or his troubles.
