Description

Imagine a steam-punk World. Our Hudson river Captain, Steve, and his Bosun mate indulge in a bar-room chat.

In that old New York city at the very start of this, the New World. Post Revolutionary War. Pre transport links to the interior. These frontiersmen will be tested to run on or to ruin the science - the ice-runner throws down the challenge.

And they're gone. Upwind and downstream. Or perhaps a vacation simply to get away from all that Jazz good humor that's going about?

The way forward is not a hard pressed one to gauge - living the dream out here on the river like this. The wildlife that follows the tide of the over glacial river flow. And the new contracted building developments along this shore.

Our two barely explorers know what it means to avoid the militia out there. And with the ice stack looming large - but melting, the race to get back to the City in time for June is on.

The river is a flood of traffic and our crew simply beats the best of them. They will encounter the British Navy and their World Globe science mission, the river police and their no nonsense approach to port's authority, the indigenous peoples (some missing) and the tribes that would live all along these shore-side baskets.

A. K. A. - The search for more rope. The river pirates and their dawn raiding party. The lost Portuguese vessel. The Oneida tribe and their always increasing blooming rope obsession. And them, our crew - on the run again in always pursuit of the always ultimate ambition - your very own freedom.

But it's not so easy when instructed and charged with breaking new bonds and forming new friendships. Although many friends they do make. Out here at the very edge of the World's cold front. And there are more tales of moonlit nights and the much skullduggery. And is it getting warmer now, surely no?

They will encounter their one and only passenger for now and learn all about his secrets business. With his silver case of silver. Upstate. A long walk - through the howling night to the last home-house before the North Atlantic. They will engage in rich people's chat to win favor and to get given the best jobs.

With that all done. We head back to the New York City in an unfashionably hot early summer that causes unseen problems for the ice-runners. Some of the other crews have some spectacular misinformed ideas about how to stop this premature massive dissolve.

And with the race won - seemingly, and a small carafe of fresh water being all that remains we make it back to the shore-dock in time for a nice surprise.

Our Captain now famous and Bentos, his companion, have charted new discoveries and after being added to the World Map themselves, they must continue on their adventures. We arrive through the steam to a new meeting place and a brand new challenge.
