Humanity's Ruin

At the beginning of time, there were deities known as the Ten Great Immortals. These Immortals silently existed in a void for centuries without a way to use their power. In hope of filling in the void, they constructed a world known as E’den. The Immortals yearned to bring life into their new world, so they created plants, beasts, and mortals. The Immortals favored the mortals as they had resembled them the most. The mortals were granted many wishes in exchange for remaining pure.

For centuries, E’den seemed to prosper in peace and harmony, but as E’den continued to develop, the mortals became tainted by their unquenchable desire for more. War, murder, rape, poverty, theft, betrayal, slavery, and destruction spread across the lands of E’den with each passing moment. The impending demise seems almost certain as one day the Immortals received a troubling prophecy. In order to save plague-ridden E’den, they prophesized two mortal champions. Will the mortals be able to fulfill their destiny and restore paradise in E'den? Or will they fall victim to the pestilence that precedes them?

Author's Note

I will most likely update this summary later when I find the words that reflect my vision of this story more precisely. This is meant to just be a foundation for a refined version later on. I don't claim to be a writer, much less a phenomenal narrative one, but I wanted to practice a bit more of my hobby on this website. I tried to write a story a few years ago, but I didn't love it, so I eventually abandoned it. Hopefully, I can try again and develop something I enjoy.
