Would have been a great twist near the end to have a prayer be blood for the blood god, but the what makes the grass grow was pretty close to it!
Really wish we had a bit more of an epilogue, but it's also fitting to leave that up to our imagination too. - fantasyretreatRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I loved the almost easygoing writing style. There was enough world-building to keep me interested and I particularly liked that I wasn't inundated with an info dump from the beginning.
Many writers fall into that trap of wanting the readers to know so much from the start. Especially when there are many races, the names of which may be foreign to new readers, are involved. @Akmedrah does a great job of taking the reader slowly through the plot while introducing the different species and characters.
Overall, this is a very good story. The premise is interesting and world-building is vivid enough to give the reader a very good idea of what the author is trying to pass across.
The style can use a bit more work, as the perspectives shift from person to person within different scenes at the beginning. But as I read further in, I could tell the author did better work on the later chapters. And from the comments, they've already started working on the earlier ones too.
The story is a good one. I don't read many sci-fi, and space operas. The ones I've tried to read, tend to have boring prose that would fit more in a science journal. Yet HFCGOSR (Gosh that was a handful to type) tends to keep me entertained.
But as someone who writes a story with a reincarnated MC, I try to stay current with science and I can see that some of the hard scientific facts the world-building is based on need more research.
Another thing is the plot points. I believe they can actually be developed further. As it is, it feels like the plot controls the story. In my opinion, though, Characters should control the plot.
Grammatical structure needs work. Although, this wouldn't take from the enjoyment of the story. Software like Grammarly can go a long way to help edit for errors.
I like to say that Grammar and Style work hand in hand. Grammar is the skeletal framework of a book and the style beautifies the book with its prose, whether flowery or not.
The characters are what I feel the author needs to w
