You might also know him as the author of the Threadbare series, a talented author who writes great world building and great characters. He writes fully published, professional quality stories, and he finishes them (which is rare on RR).
We're early on in the story, and I'm already hooked. A cyberpunk space opera, the extremes of technology explored in deep space, with our brother and sister Hull Scrapper team.

Don't see much proper hard scifi written these days, this is a particular treat.
Looks like we're going to get exploration of what makes a human a human by way of splintered human governments, augmented humanity being treated as an underclass by some factions, and most interstingly an analog to the Sapho, and we know what happened to the Mentats.
I've seen entire fanfics use up less wordcount than this first chapter, I normally wouldn't review this early, but I can already tell there's something special here.

I hadn't caught up fully before the chapters were removed for KU, but I had read a significant portion, and I really love this story.
It's not often (not exactly rare, but close) that we get a pure sci-fi story that also happens to be top quality on this site. Great pacing, great characters, great setting, great everything.
I particularly liked that this sci-fi setting is almost a space-opera version of a post apocalypse dystopia.
I'll definitely be picking up the rest when it's posted to KU and I'll be following this story here as it continues on to book 2 soon.

This is really well written. I've only finished the first chapter, but it feels like a Niven, Norton or Hugh Howie opener. Crunchy visceral space opera.
I'm following this for sure.  You should too.
YMMV disclaimer:  This looks like it will have some darkness and hasn't had any light humor yet.

I like sci-fi! I like space opera too! Maybe (judging by the stories I follow) not as much as I like fantasy but despite all that, there's a lot to enjoy in this story. Pirates that are actually scum, a broken universe, AI, and a growing sense of family that surrounds the MC and his sister. It's the latter that makes the story worth reading. I say give it a shot! It's worth the read.
