I think this is a pretty good story, I like the MC and how he uses his film library.
There is a little bit too much drama in my opinion, but other than that, this is a good story and I look forward to reading the rest of it.
I hope the author can keep writing and stay consistent.

Like the title says, it's a fun read when you're bored or got nothing else to do.
I always have a thing for good fanfiction and this is one of them.
In a world where movie creativity to a backseat. A man is reawaken with memory of another life and a mental library of box office media and literature bestsellers.
We all love a good power-wank once in awhile. But even then the author had some self awareness to add some challenges for the protagonist to keep our attention.
To be honest I thought this was a translated chinese novel with a different name that I read years ago but nope. Turns out to be an another much better work.
And to all the ones who think it's a weird premise. Remember, there was once released a movie where a man wakes up in a world where the Beatles never existed. Some executive green light this. This is true.

It is an standard Holywood fiction with a very decent grammar a bit of wishfulfillment and a likeble Protagonist.
It is an story that has a very good length and as far as I can see a regular updates
I am a bit concerned that there are so few reviews because the book is certainly worth way moore attention.
This review needs 50 words so I am writing this to reach this very high word count.
It is of course not an traditional fanfiction but the story's are very detailed explained and you can feel the author put at least a bit research into it.

The story is interesting and I see a lot of heart put into it.
The only thing holding it back is its dialogue. You get your point across no doubt but they're a lot of times that a scene feels stiff.
Despite all that your story continues to ooze with potential and all the issues seem to be slowly disappearing as you continue to write.

The idea behind the story isn't original, but it's still an interesting concept to explore. The idea of finding yourself in an alternate reality where certain things never happened allowing you to take advantage of your past experiences. Can be fun.
If anyone's familiar with 'I'm really a super star' (IRSA) a chinese webnovel that was brutally axed due to that stories author "releasing" Disney's Frozen in the story, then the premise of Hollywood King isn't new to you. Though Holywood King is a lesser version of IRSA. The simplest way to descibe Holywood King is: wish fulfillment.
The problems with this work come from two directions: the story & characters and the author.
    Story:
The story is fast paced with the main character jumping from project to project with multiple time skips being the norm so the production of a single work doesn't drag the story to a stand still. As a consequence, the story has no depth. At all.
The basic formula for the story is:
Main character checks if x popular movie/show/media from our reality has been released in this new reality, if not he produces/directs it, then he soaks in the praise/achievements/etc for the work and then moves onto the next project. Rinse and repeat, and that's the story so far.
    Character(s):
MC: While the main character is given the most screen time he's very flat as a character, he lacks a personality, and can be summed as a blank insert character.
Side Characters: They exist to simply interact with the main character or to react to whatever project he just finished. They're all extremely flat and one dimensional. Many of them appear for a chapter or two then vanish to never be seen again. For the most part they're simply impressionless and unmemorable.
His "uncle" a work friend of the main characters deceased family (the family of the new reality) has the most depth out of any character introduced so far and yet he was quickly reduced to a yes-man of sorts where he does most of his work offscreen. There are tim

Author didn't do her homework both on the text and the plot. The Hollywood production fact checking wasn't done. I couldn't read more than first 8 chapters but still confused how an inexperienced person with no idea how to direct movies plans to spend 1 million USD in 2017 on the movie that cost 18 millions (production only) in 1990. Also the original film was created by big production company within 5 months while MC plans to do it within 1 month (originally 2 months but he spent about a month on casting). Also no expenses on marketing... That's not how Hollywood works.
Characters are rather dull and their interactions with MC are boring. MC himself is not very entertaining: i actually like his playboy background more that his current self.
