Description
Tyler Berkshire’s home life is a mess, but when he sees an ad for game-testers in his area, it sounds like a perfect summer job before his senior year of high school. He tests a virtual reality epic fantasy MMORPG before its release and gets to meet players around the world helping RE Games to develop their product into a spectacular gaming experience.
Immersive storylines and memorable quests are only the beginning, because in this game choices have irreversible consequences. Tyler works hard to learn the mechanics and progress through his beginner zone, but soon finds that his experience in the fantasy world isn’t the same as everyone else’s. Some of the other players seem to be way ahead of the rest, and it isn’t until Tyler visits one of the players he has a crush on in her gamescape that he understands why. Her world looks very different than his, and he can’t wait to leave the warzone she created.
When the head of RE Games visits their small office and announces that the top five players will be offered scholarships and jobs as developers with the company it’s a mad scramble for everyone to be at the top. Except, no one really knows what benchmark the company is measuring against. Tyler must navigate guild politics, dangerous dungeons, and impossible quest choices if he wants any chance of securing one of the top spots. And with his parents in the middle of an ugly divorce, he needs the security of a scholarship to get himself out of their problems and into a future of his own choosing.

- Anathema AnthropomorphosisRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Seriously, for those who are just passing by, just reading the synopis? Shame on you. READ the whole content.
There is some good drama in it. All in all, the protagonist is trying to make an escape to his (bad) shitty reality. He makes a breakthrough when he somehow gets enlisted to the program as an alpha tester of the game developed by RE games - HEXENTOR.
Overall, it is quite an immersive sh!t to stay reading. Unfortunately, the author seems stagnated by the uncharted waters of the RR system. - Ostracized PeakRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0[Excerpt]
In all honesty, it's been a while since I played RPG-style games or something of the sorts. Around a couple of years, to be precise. I migrated to a genre called: “grand strategy” most notably, Paradox Interactive Games. Well, anyway. The concept of the series is pristine and cool. It is the very first book that I read with an alpha (or game tester) sample. For example: Stanford Prison Experiment. (Joke.) (#47 - foreshadowing, lol.) Furthermore, as of lately, I have been planning to prepare a story like this - alpha testing game since, I assume, VR and other stuff of this type is well endowed to the LitRPG sub-genre. So it seems, I am not the first one to employ it. (Too sad, it’s only just a draft T_T)
[Synopis]
Tyler is a Milwaukeean high school graduate looking for a part-time job. He happens to see a promotion around the town: RE games. He enlists himself then BOOM! He plays the game. (Joke). Tyler volunteers himself, dedicating a partial of his time to experience the game firsthand.
[Style 1/2]
The author’s discretion utilizes first person point-of-view, past tense, has a sophisticated amount of immersion towards the flow of the story, the interaction between the contemplation of the protagonist is very human, and there is a distinct separation between the dialogue and what the main character thinks.
[Style 2/2]
In my opinion, HEXENTOR is very fun to read. The description of each protagonist’s (Tyler’s) perspective is much detailed. As Tyler is trying to learn how to play the game, so as I am learning to immerse myself in the mechanics of the book/game.
[Story]
The plot sets around in a modern setting - 20’s to 30’s. And as of now, I am making this review on Chapter 3. Thus, I am still trying to learn it. Moreover, the author inputs German-oriented names and places. (The author seems acquainted with it. Hmm?)
Tyler Berkshire meets an annoying haughty racist patroller.
[Grammar]
I won’t be judging the author’s grammar. First of all, the author is a nat
