Threatened by demonic subjugation, a world of magic, unusual creatures, and various superpowers needs to summon the twelve heroes. Blessed by the twelve gods, these legendary figures have always been the ones to rescue their world throughout the generations when the threat became too great.

But what happens when during the night after the twelve were summoned, a thirteenth appears by seemingly his own accord? Enter Edwin Thatch. A man with no memory of his home world or himself. Showing no aptitude for any kind of magic but possessing an inhuman killer instinct, his summoners are unsure of what his fate should be. And with the demonic horde closing in, what is this hero with no Patron god or power to do?
