Description
A short story of a hero partaking in a heroes journey after his family is put at stake. I'm just having fun doing something different than I usually do.

- KillerKittyKatIVRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is a amazing book and the story telling is fantastic. Over all just a great read, and don't miss out. Please read the whole page and you'll love the end because it's really good and really deep as he battles his hatred for the hero world to try and protect his family as his father's superhero identity is revealed, especially at the end because he fights the guy who killed his father with acid. The beginning is kind of funny because his teacher thinks she's a chicken which really helps to add a bit of levity to an otherwise serious story. The worldbuilding is some of the best I've seen and the powers are super unique and well thought out, each one having their own checks and balances even in such a short story. Honestly the amount of world building and complicated topics dealt with in this short story is impressive in and of itself. The grammar could use some work, but from what I read it doesn't make the story hard to read at all. I'd like for the errors to be fixed in time, but honestly with how much the author writes and how quickly he does it I don't blame him one bit.
Do not miss out, it's definitely worth your time. - Maaku Yuujiin KurosubiiRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5The story is well-written and engaging, with a clear plot and a strong voice. The author creates a vivid picture of the HSI world, where people with powers are trained to become heroes or villains. The story explores the themes of heroism, friendship, revenge, and self-discovery, as John struggles to find his place and purpose in this world.
The characters are realistic and relatable, especially John and his friend Kip, who have a close bond and support each other through their trials. The author also portrays the villains as complex and human, not just evil for the sake of being evil. The main antagonist, the man who killed John’s father, has a backstory and a motivation that makes him more than just a one-dimensional villain.
The story has a satisfying climax and resolution, as John confronts his father’s killer and avenges his death. The story also leaves room for further development, as John decides to continue his hero career and protect his family and friends. The story is an inspiring and thrilling read for anyone who enjoys superhero stories.
