You know some people may dislike this story I can see that but I sorta view this type of style as a modern classic. It may be full of cliches and crappy jokes but in a sense that's also its charm. For those want to read something that misadventuris this is probably the novel for you.

The author is trying to hard to make things funny, and most of his jokes just make the story less amusing in the way they are implemented. the way many events are put into the story is also done in a way that simply doesn't work, and once more the author is making an attempt to be funny in ways that don't make sense. such as when the main character gets sent off to training in the fashion that he sent off if really quite dumb, and were suppose to laugh at the idiocy of the whole thing. Another problem is the characters the main character and his friend were betrayed people tried to murder them in cold blood, and yet they act like nothing has happened and move on. the Demon king paints a setting for them where the world is in turmoil and yet he is behaving like a complete fool, and even his subordinates you make a reference to them seeing him as a fool, while they are fighting a war for their supposed freedom and survival, someone would have usurped the throne from a person displaying such incompetence or at the very least the human king wouldn't have seen a need to summon heroes so desperately.  another sort of joke you have run into the ground is where you say to be continued and then continue in that chapter, it was merely clever the first time you did it. and all of your little notes you put in for example when the character makes a comment about his weapon not ever breaking, and then you state epic foreshadowing. us readers tend to be able to pick up clues on our own we don't necessarily need author notes breaking the story to tell us these things. to continue with the aforementioned scene it doesn't fit the character, he is a HUGE otaku as you made abundantly clear at the beginning when he wasn't startled or scared or at least surprised that a fantasy event, not a real life type of event was happening, and yet he raises these flags that most otakus would notice.
This story has a tremendous amount of potential, but with the way this author is to focused on his f
