- IykeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Waw!!! I have been following this novel for a while and I just have to say that the way the fight scenes are portrayed is exceptional. I hope it gets animated someday.
Furthermore, the plot gets exponentially more engaging and at a tantalising pace btw. I am never able to predict what happens in the next chapter or to be more precise, what happened in Svan's past. I imagine his background holds a lot of sway on the storyline. I am eager to find out.
Svan is a wonderful character. Always reflecting and making decisions in the present. Telling the world through his eyes has a neat philosophical vibe to it. I really like OP characters and to a point that a jealous part of me would like to see Svan royal messed up for not planning ahead as I imagine I would in his shoes. Haha
Either way, this is an excellent story and I would love to read more. Please keep it up ❤️ - EkacquahRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5There are various things great about this book. There are also certain preferences I as a reader would have wanted. I have some pros and cons which are driven by my own opinions and what I was looking for to read.
Starting with the cons:
I like the characters and their presence for the plot but I believe that some of the tags for the book should be replaced. The MC is not a “strong lead” which identifies someone wiser beyond their years and more capable for the plot. He aligns more so as a naive and honest individual discovering his new found power. The power system is also not well defined as it’s still unclear where supposed prodigal characters stand. Every meaningful character introduced is stronger than the central characters that were described to be powerful which subsequently made them seem very average. The overall cast of characters seem to unravel as the plot expands but there’s not much back story or detail to show the relations among them. We are basically told what they are and expected to carry on for the needs of the plot. It would make more sense to have it shown as the plot builds. For example,
Yukina and Evren are supposed to have a rivalry as told by the author but they seem to act more like acquaintances. Evren’s personality is all of a sudden unveiled to be someone that is a closet softie and would rather be friends with Yukina. Meanwhile Yukina never really addresses her as a rival. It’s more so she’s powerful and Evren has never beat her. There is no interaction whatsoever or backstory introduced to better detail their relationship. The rivalry gets glossed over and they eventually begin to have a different relationship as the plot focuses on the potential antagonists.
The introduction of the Mentor figure was also extremely poor.
The mentor is the (thought dead) mother of the lead and supporting character/female lead. The reaction for a reunion with a mother that they were told was dead due to the mother’s own decision makes no sense being a
