Description
Glory, honor, and enlightenment.
The realms of immortal cultivators offers many wonderous things.
But that which inspires awe, can also inspire fear.
Darkness, corruption, and despair.
Without a powerful backer, government is fragile at best. Who can the weak turn to when the strong justify lawlessness—or fall prey to their own lusts?
On the hunt for a rare beast core that will help her become the youngest cultivator to break into the sky realm in Monolith continent’s history, Xiao Huifen is ambushed by a monstrous dire beast that shouldn’t even exist in the Redwood Aurora region. Forced to flee, she soon finds herself running low on energy and is faced with certain death. A voice calls out to her.
She turns toward it, scurrying after her last glimmer of hope. A young man steps out from behind a tree with a cultivation a full realm lower than her own. She quickly decides to try to save the courageous fool when he commands the wind with the swipe of a hand, pushing her out of the way, and stands to face the dire beast alone.
What she witnesses in this one person is an undeniable weakness, and heaven defying strength.

- AyatoRahXephonRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0So for those just randomly popping around like alot of us on this site this author wrote the series Underworld:level up or die which i imagine a few will recongize. That being said this is a entierly differnt genre and alot of author cant make that change he has. Gave the story 4 stars for the moment but thats only cause its not finished so far at CH 32 this story seems to be the set up for a series and is fun to read and not super tropey like alot of xiania novels can be on this site mildly tropy at worst. My wallet cries ahead of time since ill probably be buying this series as well.
- BullerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0And it definitely is some of the better things I've read on that platform. Might not rank among my top 10(or even top 50 at that), but I would still call this a solid read. Yes, there were some situations that I just couldn't understand the need for, but that's just nitpicking at that level. The style is good, grammar is professionally edited, and the characters are more than alright. I see no reason not to read this stuff. 5/5 from me.
- RoxtRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is a very good cultivation story even if you are not familiar with the genre.
Due for release on amazon soon, so will come down before that.
I for one will be happy to pay for the full version.

Extra words for review length, extra words for review length, extra words for review length. - TohimRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I have no idea how to write a proper comprehensive review, or I would have gone into details how good this story is. As at Chapter 49, the characters, the descriptions, the flow of the story and the story stuff itself are all fantastic!! Do give it a try. It's one of the best wuxia I've read so far.
- a usernameRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0One of the best part of this story is that it focuses more on the characters than on the cultivation setting. The progression fantasy elements are present, but not overwhelming. The story is pretty well written, definitely at the top of royal road, so I can't hold that against it. It does rely on some cliches, but at the end of the day there are no new stories, only new tellings. Definitely worth a read if you enjoy the genre, and good first taste of the genre if you are looking to try it.
- hellnhavocRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Straight up I loved this thing so far. Two perspectives, I mean we can go ahead and call that there will be a romance but now its more like a perfectly done mentor/friendship. Truthfully im almost mad i found this now and not 300 chapters in. I spent the whole damn day reading this thing. I almost didn't have dinner done before the wife got home.
- malekithauRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Having tried the author's other offerings on Amazon I was a little reluctant to read this one. I didn't like those at all but I'm enjoying this even though the MC is so underwhelming at times that I fear that he will drag the story down. The romance angle is awkward and given the huge difference in levels between the MC and his love interest unless he gets a huge cheat ability (which I expect he just did in the current chapter) there is no future for them. If there was only a realm difference in levels it might be believable but that's not the case at all. That said the story is of higher quality than most on RR, posted regularly, and engaging enough that I recommend you read it if you are a (Western) cultivation fan.
- DrDreamcaseRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I have read a huge amount of cultivation novels starting from demons and god's up to going a bit through different styles of authors up to chapter 1120 or something of king of god's so I consider myself quite invested in the genre.
Never ones have I seen one where there is such a nice fast progressive style of story telling with a compelling character which doesn't go the chuuni road of power creep.
The main character is strong but rather in intelligence then powers and somehow gets to stay human nevertheless.
The story brings forth quite the dark sides as well without shying away from the traumas which should be more common in the genre given the brutality and evils topics the genre touches upon.
Give it a read I would recommend it ^^ - MorhRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Pretty good cultivation story. The MC was raised by his powerful retired immortal father in a remote forest where he learned to use all magical elements instead of one at the cost of keeping a low cultivation level. He then encounters a nice frigid girl with repressed feelings and joins her sect.
What makes the quality of this story is its serenity. The good girl ambitious girlfriend discovers that obeying blindly her teachers to get good grades isn't the only way to life. Excellence requires a bit of exploration of unchartered magical territories.
The teenage romance between the two main characters is well written and blends with the theme of the story. What level of chastity must the puritan good girl keep to fully bloom up as a young woman.
Nothing extreme, no blatent and artificial SJW themes that most authors on RR love to promote. Just two decent teenagers who are slowly leaving the teaching of their parents and wondering what to do with their lives.
Overall, while there is nothing revolutionary, the author understands how to write a proper story with both the usual cultivation growth in power that everyone is here for, combined to actual character developement, with the worldviews of the characters slowly maturing. - octonusRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0I like the characters. They have depth, and seem to develop as the story goes on. I don't like the plot. It is way too focused on the creepy rapey side of cultivation stories.
Writing is solid. There are occasional errors, but nothing too glaring (though I did feel it was below average for a kindle publication).
Overall, this is a much better story than most of what you will see on this site, and it worth reading if you can stomach the plot.
