I am going to be very simple here. I am not going to delve into the clockwork that is a constructive review and will only give you what I see and what I think, I hope you trust my review.
First thing I see when skimming the recently updated section is heavens awakening. Now normally I wouldn't even bother checking out such a title since it usually leads to boring stories with lackluster MCs, well I was WRONG I took a chance I saw this title and it called out to me. I clicked it and what unveiled was a okish description, I was like yaaay another VR reincarnation story.
I was deeply wrong this isn't a play reincarnating no no this is an NPC, not just any NPC the strongest Grandmagus in the VRMMO a mighty magus who sacrificed his life for his other NPC friend. This is not scripted he did this of his own free will I like to believe, next he reincarnates into a cultivation world.
Now I know what you may be thinking, a cultivation world and a grandmagus? it's gonna be a slow grind to OP status isn't it siggggh so borrrrring!. You are wrong my dear fellow readers, wrong on so many accounts. He uses the slowest cultivation method of all Heavens awakening with vastly superior benefits to other methods, but it is an exceedingly slow climb.
You may ask how is that any different from other xianthia stories....well I would not call this a xianthia story. In the 3 chapters after the prologue we experience his childhood, his parents disappearing and him suddenly being advanced rank by the end of the 3rd chapter which there were a 100 ranks of intermediate to pass through first if I remember.
You may think bah god given talent of the youngling who is ignorant of the world siiiigh so what's new? well you may not know this, but in chapter 3 he is 118 years old now and he traveled the world experiencing new cultures. This means he is not an ignorant talented youngling but an old man in the guise of an 18yearold.
Please readers give this a chance it is fantastic, I know my poor gramma

Read the first 4 chapters, and couldn't continue. There was just an extreme lack of detail in this story. Little world building, almost zero characterization, and the only thing the author spent any thought on was the cultivation technique. This really isn't a story as much as it is an idea for a story.
