Description

A land where dwarves have fallen from power and glory, reduced to little more than second class citizens and slaves, a Thane is needed to bring the dwarves back into the mountains. At the request of a dying god Stronric Wraith-Thane travels worlds as a last hope. Equipped with nothing more than a pick axe, his wits and duty to his oath, Stronric must battle enemies with unknown powers, magic and abilities. Guided by unlikely allies he must adapt in this world of levels, stats, and classes to restore the forgotten God’s once glorious hold, bring power back to the dwarven race, and grow into his birth right of thane.

Hello, I am Mr. H, this is a journey I have started with my editor. This story began as my first serious attempt at writing fiction. I started with no formal training, only stubbornness and a love for the fantastical. Rather than polishing the early chapters to match my current skill, I’ve chosen to leave them as they were written so you can see the same journey Cip and I made from the rough first drafts to a more practiced hand. The concept of the story is very good and the storyline itself doesn't have any problems. I can only put 3.5 stars because there are a lot of inconsistencies in the story and I feel that the dwarf characters changed dramatically in personality in a short time frame. Also stuff like, characters only using an ability once and never again.
The story could be great, but I feel the author should take a step back, start over and make sure the story is more fluid. I don't like stories written by AI but it can be used for grammar and structure.
Word for the Author:
This review isn't super positive and I'm really sorry for that, but I do believe you have the foundation for something really good. The dwarf culture is very detailed and fleshed out. The idea of the dwarves forgotten ancestors that need to be brought back to the hearth is something new and exciting. I think the biggest mistake is in the dwarves of the world turning quickly into "real dwarves", don't forget that they have been enslaved for centuries and they voluntarily left the ways of rock and stone. They should be slowly changing their personalities and at the same time the MC should change a bit to match them. I think the best example of that is grimli, he changed way too fast into a real dwarf. Slow character development is better, don't rush your story. Release 2 chapters a week but spend as much time as if you were writing 3.
Final words
Amazing story idea, flawed execution. Keep at it, learn from your mistakes and this story is going to be great. Sorry if this review isn't clear, I wrote down what I thought to help
