I was a bit apprehensive about this at first. Having loved Worm, reading a fanfiction from it almost felt sacrilegious, and the first twenty-odd chapters felt off as I kept expecting Worm right around the corner. That said, once the story moves completely off the rails, it really steps into its own. Taylor begins as the same shy, unhappy individual, and similarly to Worm finds some steel in herself as circumstances force her to. The only difference being, that instead of fighting for her life, she's wrangling an unruly bunch of little sisters that are sources of chaos devoted only to her. It winds up being an unexpectedly heartwarming read as each little sister develops and tries to find their place in Taylor's world.
Style: Smooth and straightforward. I always feel like there should be more to say about style, but oftentimes the best style is one that isn't noticed.
Grammar: Mostly perfect. There were one or two problems that I noticed while binge reading, but nothing egregious enough for me to remember them now.
Story: Intensely familiar to anyone that's read Worm. For those that haven't, the premise is that people periodically awaken powers that have consistent rules and limits. Society at large remains intact, if somewhat tattered, and powered gangs present problems that are difficult to resolve without bloodshed. Overall, I enjoyed the accuracy as well as the divergences from the source storyline. That said, the story flow in the first twenty-odd chapters feels a little stilted, rushing to certain key moments like Dinah's kidnapping and the Undersider's confrontation. It's possible that's just a result of my own expectations from Worm though. Shortly thereafter, the story really begins to breathe and allow the fanfiction to stretch its legs. The dark and gritty source material is shifted into a warm and gritty tale peppered with headpats and surprisingly emotional beats as the girls move from their initially simple personality cutouts.
    Character: I've said this

(Need to have read Worm for the full effect)
Holy hell How have I not already given this a review? I love basically everything that Raven's Dagger writes, but this fiction is how I got introduced to them. A fantastic fanfiction, and an excellent fiction in its own right. This version of Taylor is believable as a version of the original character, and as her own person; and each of the sisters is fantastic to read. The interactions between them all are also absolutely believable. You can really feel the emotions that every one of them is going through (shout out in particular to the chapter from Cheshire's POV when they start going to school.) Even the minor characters feel like they do in the original work. The style is just fast enought to keep things light and engaging, with the necessary pauses to let us breathe and reconnect to the cast. This is a prime example of Raven's Dagger's trademark 'serious matters taken completely inconsequentially' way of story telling. And the grammar, dialogue, and writing is the same level of high quality that you can expect from any RD fiction. 5/5, an excellent way to get introduced to the writer, and a fun read start to finish.

    Initial Impressions
Going into Headpats, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Worm fanfiction can be a mixed bag—some stick close to the original’s dark, intricate world, while others veer wildly into unexplored territory. Headpats does the latter in the best possible way. It takes Worm’s core elements—powers with consistent rules, a society struggling to handle superhuman conflicts, and Taylor’s journey of self-discovery—but shifts the tone to something unexpectedly heartwarming.
Taylor's ability to copy powers manifests in the form of little sisters, each with their own quirks and personalities. Rather than surviving in a cutthroat world of villains and antiheroes, she suddenly finds herself managing a chaotic, affectionate family of superpowered siblings. It’s a bizarre premise, but RavensDagger makes it work beautifully.
    Writing Style ★★★★★ (5/5)
The writing in Headpats is smooth, accessible, and well-paced. RavensDagger keeps the prose straightforward, allowing the humor and character interactions to shine. While Worm is known for its intricate worldbuilding and tension-heavy storytelling, Headpats thrives on a lighter, more comedic tone without sacrificing emotional depth. The balance between heartwarming moments and action sequences is handled with skill, making it an easy yet engaging read.
    Story & Pacing ★★★★★ (5/5)
For Worm veterans, the early chapters might feel slightly off as they follow familiar beats. Events like Dinah’s kidnapping and the Undersiders’ confrontation play out similarly to Worm, but once the story embraces its unique premise, it truly shines. The shift from a gritty survival story to one about navigating relationships and found family dynamics makes Headpats a standout piece of fanfiction.
What sets the story apart is how seamlessly it balances action, humor, and emotional depth. While the original Worm thrives on tension and high-stakes conflict, Headpats finds its strength in the personal stakes of Taylor and her ever-growing family. The pac

An amusing twist on the original work. I can only wonder how Taylor will survive the future.

I loved this. It was heartwarming.. and considering that Worm is almost never a feel-good time, that's saying a lot. Taylor's problems haven't all vanished, but she has an actual support structure here, even as her power does cause conflicts. It's just that the conflicts are warm and fluffy and adorable. I especially enjoy how Coil is slowly becoming Dr. Claw.
Stylistically, this is a nice fast read, without too much complexity of writing, but that matches the feel of the story. Grammatically, it's very readable. There are some minor issues, but nothing significant or deal breaking.
Storywise, it is, like it's original, mostly about the evolution of Taylor's character, and in 60+ chapters it doesn't really get very far, but the ride is enjoyable. The characters are where this truely shines, and I enjoyed their antics immeasurably. Each of the sisters has her own personality, motivations, quirks, and issues. They're like the originals, their so called "Progenerators", but still vulnerable enough to be human, rather than the unspeakable tools they are in the original.
In fact, the biggest want I have is that I'd like to see more interaction between some of the sisters and their progens... and I'd really like to see a Jack Slash sister. But it's almost certainly not to be.

It's like worm but hella cute.
that's about all I have to say on this. It's just a cute spoof novel, not aiming to be a serious novel but if you liked worm and want to add to your cuteness, try this.

    the premise is interesting
    -a worm fanfic
-what if Taylor herberts power was getting an ever-increasing number of little sisters
inconsistencies are bound to happen fx. we are introduced to a cape that wouldn't get their powers until later in the original. it is the only inconsistency I've spotted so far and it is relatively minor

I really enjoyed this story. I'm a fan of Worm Fics, and this was an interesting power, and it was cute. Though, I have no idea why it's listed as "hiatus" when it's clearly Discontinued, not having a new chapter in over 2 years. While I hope to one day continue messing with Dr.Coilaw, the plot seems to have reached a narrative Dead end, given Taylor wants to not be involved in Cape Stuff. And unlike Fluffs Protagonist, Taylor has no reason to, unless attacked by the S9 or Endbringers, but their inclusion is unlikely. Plus, as mentioned, Fluff exists, and has the same "Girl with power to create adorable, chaos Gremlins/little sisters" thing, but with an actual, interesting plot.
In short, I enjoyed it, and hope it continues, but I understand if it won't, as I enjoy it's replacement Fluff. (And I am glad that it exists, because it was my first Ravensdagger story)

I like this story. It’s a nice slice of live and the slow speed of the story reflects that.
Its not the overdone end of the world, or the OP power fantasy. And I can respect that. Though I suspect she will soon have armies of little sisters to call upon.
Taylor is practically a single mom with too many super-powered little kids. And they are all adorable.
The Characters are done beautifully. I love Cheshire´s antics, Crochet is sweet and deadly, while Remedy is a promise of fun body-morphing. With Poppu bringing in new character traits and Taylor being a good big sister, it is just fun to read.
The grammar is good. No complaints there.
The style is appropriate for a slice of life.
My only complaint is, that I don’t have the grasp of how the World differs from our own. Sure, there are Hero´s and Villains, but it is hard to picture how this affects the day to day life of the average person. I can´t quite figure out how often a random person would be subjected to Gun/Cape violence.
Though that is most likely by design, as the focus is on the Characters of Taylor and her little Sisters. It would be hard to build into the story.
There were hints as to how her Powers influence people whose powers she copied, but I can´t be sure just now. I look forward to more Chapters.
