- MisterTubsRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I am not a big fan of the Harry Potter books; something about the way the HP world is presented in JK's series made it feel flat and isolated to me. With that being said, I am thoroughly enjoying this story being told. The writing is crisp, easy to follow, and I haven't come across any glaring grammar issues. On top of that the author has made exploring the HP world fun for me for the first time; which is the best thing about fanfics in general. The MC is far better balanced than typical fanfic MC's. His awareness of the plot never stops him from being a mover of it, and his being a fan of the characters doesn't stop him from having sincere relationships that make sense between real people. The MC actually feels like an in-context character of this world and not some simping, edgelording, Garry Stu, HP fanatic running amok. This lets, us the reader, have enough distance from the original series to have fun seeing it from a different perspective, while still keeping it familiar and grounded in the original lore.
Tl;Dr - the author deserves more readers. This is a great read whether your a HP fan or not, and I can't wait for more. - MossRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The best Harry Potter fanfic I have read so far, and a brilliant view on a well know story 9,9/10
really I dont really know what to add here other than that I truly hope the auther continues with the story and that everyone who happen upon it should get to reading as soon as you can

Some one dies in our universe and then wakes up in the HP universe, with a fairly good knowledge of the franchise's books.
He is an unknown heir of a prominent wizarding house, who then proceeds to walk his own path through claiming his birthright and going through the first year at Hogwarts.
I like the MC, he (mostly) acts his real age of 20 years or so, he uses his mature outlook to logically work through the issues of potentially being a target of political assassination and being used as a political pawn.
The author uses certain words too much, and may be making the MC make too many changes in what should be the the first year of Harry Potter, but I think with practice word choice will get better and in any case, overall, I think this fiction is pretty well done. - in_flight_messageRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Look, this story needs some pretty heavy editing. It's riddled with run-on sentences, questionable turns of phrase, and straight up typos. The author sometimes manages to have like four separate, disjointed thoughts within the same sentence. That turned me off from reading at first, but after running out of other stuff and coming back here and looking past all the technical stuff (which can be improved with practice), I found a story like I summarized in my review title. There is a lot of detail and character development to be found here.
I'd say I'm most intrigued with this framing of wizard houses as nobility with increased political privileges. The way the author develops the politics and the paranoid and conspiratorial Dumbledore are unlike I've seen in other fics. The dialogue and character choices especially stand out as fitting this rigid, hierarchical heritage which would have spawned the types of dark houses that we see in the original work. I very much look forward to the continuation of this story, and I implore the author to prioritize it going forward. - SoulessRedRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Well written and obviously someone who has a passion for the world and has thought outside the box to be able to add to what has been written before and have it be completely believable and entertaining to read. Don't recall any grammar that threw me off and jumped at me, chapter length is great and pacing is good. The part that stands out is the authors take on Dumbledore, and that's all I'll say on that front. Read it for yourself and see. Keep it up psycho!!!!
- AtrienRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I am greatly enjoying how this story is coming along.
The characters act like real people each with there own personality but at the same time not being stereotypes
Grammar has a few issues but there all minor being that they are just missed placed words or missed spellings
The story flows well and shows us a new side to the Harry Potter series
All in all IS GOOD. - Jathurshan2008Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5just a review

Style 4
Grammar 2
Story 5
Character 4.5
Maybe some grammar improvement could be made
I like the long chapters as well. But I think you could further improve the screen time of other characters such as muggles. obv. Hermione - Maitreya_Royal Road★★★★ 4.0it's really good, the relationships between characters, the scenes and the progress feel satisfactory and everything is quite good there are no notable errors apart from the update rate and in general everything is ok, the mc has a safe character and is quite a good protagonist a good hp fic
- TheArtistWritesRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0As far as fanfic quality goes most suck pretty bad, but this one I would count as an exception. There are several misspelled words and run-on sentences, but plot wise it's great. the author has managed to add a new character into the existing universe almost seamlessly, and the world still feels believably like it's inspiration. There's also a certain schadenfreude, seeing some of the more irritating characters from the original given a taste of humble pie.
Where I left off, we the audience are currecntly waiting for a chapter 17. Overall a fun read, would reccomend. - thingsandstuffRoyal Road★★★ 3.0The fanfic and plot are average to above average in my opinion. But what makes this fic stand out to me is that the self-insert character actually tries to help Harry. I've read a couple of other fics where the SI and Harry meet but the SI doe nothing to befriend or help him. That is totally okay of course, the point of an SI fic is for the author to do what he wants in the world of HP. But given this is the first fic I've read that makes this attempt, I'm enjoying it and would love to see more. I hope it comes off hiatus.
