Description
Is she half demon? Or is she simply a girl?
Before the traveling zealots arrived, Tiff never had to ask herself those questions. She was content living with her mother in the woods, far from the hostility of society. She was happy. She was free. Now, persecution haunts her every step. News of her supernatural ancestry stirs up more than unkind words and suspicious glances. Before long, Tiff begins to worry about her safety. Will her mother be able to protect her? Are they both in danger simply because Tiff exists? As the persecution worsens, Tiff must decide which half of herself to embrace and which half to cast off forever.

- DireGoatRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is a great story that really manages to put you in the mind of the character. It's slow paced in terms of the events happening but every scene still feels important and adds something to the story. The world is also very interesting while still feeling grounded. Overall one of the best works I've seen on this sight.
- tongoRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0To start this review, after the first part of the story just ended, I want to put upfront that it is a relatively slow story with not that much action, so if you are hoping to get regular Battles or a lot of action this might not be the story for you.
Now to the story itself: It follows a young girl, that is half fey and ostracized from her village. We experience her daily live, her struggles and some interesting events happening in her life. I need to mention here, that the way charecters interact with one another is really nice, you mostly know what their intentions are ahead of any konversation (not the case if some plot twist happens), but every conversation brings something new to the table and flashes out the charecters or the world even more
I relly like where the story is going up until now it has some really nice high points but contrasts them nicely with lowpoints, you can really feel how the chgarecter feels based on the writing Style and I have rarely felt this attached to a charecter.
Which leads to the Charecters in this Story: I find them overall great, I don´t find anything wrong with them I would just like to get to know some of them a bit better, right now I feel like the Villagers gould be a bit more diverse, but the fact that we know so little about them fits the Story up until now, so just a minor gripe of mine. But the star of the story our main charecter Tif is the most interesting written child MC I have seen so far, as mentioned before you can really understand what and why she is feeling something and all her actions are interesting but don´t appear random or without reason.
Grammar wise I couldn´t find any issues but I am no english native speaker so I am no high authority on this.
I terms of the world itself it brings up some interesting ideas in terms of how nature spirits and other monsters löive amongst each other, otherwise it is nothing to exciting.
Overall a great Story if you were not turned away by my starting Paragraph I would hi - YokemRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5Good day,
Critical review brace yourself!
Overall, I have enjoyed the story. I just caught up to it in the current chapter. It is well written and generally enjoyable. The style is very good, just as the grammar and the story holds a lot of potential which have been decently explored, I would say.
I can only praise the author on those parts.
This is where we got to the part where I say, but.
BUT:
Characters…
God, have mercy on us, for we have sinned... (Takes a deep breath.)
I am surprised to have to write this, as for quite some time the story had very well written characters. They were acting believable and logical for many chapters, having their own purposes, relatable goals and reactions.
Then, in the span of a few chapters: “logic left the chat”.
Everything turned into an overdramatized drama-tragedy whirlpool that sucks the reader in like a black hole and keeps drowning you in the MC-s self pity and masochistic tendencies.
The main character is in the lack of a better world incapable of living.
Sorry, but that’s just how it is.
I am actually glad that I found this story, since my own readers tend to complain that some of my main characters are pushovers. Now I can send them this story whenever it comes up, and they will no doubt praise my most indecisive characters as a pillar of confidence and decisiveness in comparison.
I know that she is a child, but not that young anymore to make such brain-dead decisions.
At this point, I was genuinely starting sympathising with the antagonist.
The man clearly oppressed her to make her hate living there, not that he had to do a lot, since she already did before he got there and became her step-father.
What I mean is that he oppressed her, while carefully leaving a door open for her to just walk away whenever she wanted. Instead, she choose to stay for whatever ungodly reason.
Look, I understand that she felt lost, terrified and wanted to stay by her mother's side, but she was clearly beyond the point where she had any rea
