Description

When someone gets isekaied into the Pokemon world the first thought anyone might have is to become a Pokemon trainer and work to be the very best, like no one ever was. Harry Hemming doesn't have such lofty ambitions but that doesn't mean thing won't get stirred up as he tries to claim a spot as a new ninth Gym Leader for the Hoenn region.

So wholesome so underrated and been reading this one for a while now.. An SI mc reincarnated and becoming a fairy type specialist and trying to become the 9th gym leader of Hoenn...
Regular updates and lots of slice of life and side battles... As in the title, an underrated fic..

So far, so good. You very much get the Slice-of-Life, with a side of battles. At this point, we finally have his team of 6 all shown, if not fully introduced. I like the premise, and am hoping it turns out well. I do enjoy the small scenes from other character's POV. It brings a little more depth to the world.
I only have one, rather small actually, nitpick. Which will most likely be worked out as the story progresses.
The one thing that gets to me is just how unprepared Harry is. The only preparations he has made is the actual decision to become a Gym Leader and his Type Specialty. No locations have been mentioned, nor much else in plans other than, "Being a Gym Leader sounds cool."

Well written. Characters feel authentic to the story.
I really like the boring looking fairy trainer aesthetic though. Certainly different from the usual whimsical colouration.
How strong exactly he is is a little confusing as he gets robbed by 2 well trained ninja kids. There were multiple things going against him at the time however. So I say it's believable.

Can’t handle kids stealing his stuff even though his Pokemon tried to help, then how is he gonna handle criminals and bad guys ??

doesn't know anything about being a gym leader and just decided it’ll be fun so he tried.
honeslty the story is a good slice of life but a gym leader story it is not like it’s better to make the story about him traveling because for someone who wants to be a gym leader he is too weak.
