Description

"Getting blood on your hands is inevitable—the only choice is whose it will be."

When faced with a life-or-death decision, A-rank adventurer Alan chose his comrades over orders. Expecting punishment from the Adventurer’s Association, he braced himself for the worst. Instead… they promoted him.

“Wait, you can’t just make me S-rank!”

Now officially the fourth S-rank adventurer in Alcia, Alan does what any responsible S-rank would, he runs. After all, he’d rather face monsters than be shackled by guild rules.

Unfortunately, escaping didn't go exactly as planned. Two mischievous party members have forced their way into his newest journey, turning his solo escape into an unwanted adventure.

So I normally don't leave reviews on stories that I read but I feel that I am needing to on this one, and I have around 20-25 active stories I am reading but I have arouns 150 story tabs up.
In general, this story is pretty good. The blurb has a good intrigued pull and that is one of the first things I look at for books. The blurb tells a good amount on the authors thoughts of the book as well as their style of writing in general as they create their blurb.
Style: The reason I give a 4 out of 5 is that the style flows decently smooth between characters communicating as well as the action scenes. There are some hiccups on the action bits that show the Author was thinking through the actions being described but couldnt find the proper words to get the flow right off the bat, but it is still quite early to fully determine if the writing style will stick this way or if the Author will change it for a differing format.
Story: I rated the story as 4 out of 5 because it holds a lot of interesting detail and you can get some subtle foreshadowing of events from background scene descriptions or character communications between each other. Again it is still pretty early in the story but the fa t that we start with a very confident strong MC who is able to show the wisdom and understanding of why we start out this strong even though worldbuilding hasn't happened too much yet makes me aim to stay with this one as long as the Author is writing it.
As for improving the story score, I would say that some more focus on the worldbuilding or settings to help better let readers get what the Author is thinking and imagining up to better immerse themselves into the story would help draw more in.
Grammar: this one is pretty self-obvious as you can always catch grammar mistakes in most stories but there not as many as I would expect for a story not even 20 chapters in, and the ones that are caught the Author fixes up pretty quick. Never expect to not have any errors in writing if you do wr

Overall, this isn’t a bad story so far, but I can’t really say there’s anything that stands out enough to really recommend it either. The story concept is fine, not particularly original but fine.
The style is…okay, but again, nothing particularly noteworthy. Nothing about the style itself is unique or gripping. There are few interesting analogies, similarities, metaphors, or idioms. The language is not eloquent or poetic or anything in particular. Very mundane and middle of the road. All I can really say to recommend it is that it’s simple and straightforward enough that readers for whom English is a second language shouldn’t have to struggle to understand it.
The grammar is about what I would expect from your average native English speaker. Haven’t noticed any glaring problems.
    The dialogue and characters…however.
Alan’s character and personality doesn’t seem terribly consistent so far, or at least not consistent with that of an accomplished adventurer. There is nothing particularly noteworthy or admirable about him other than that he’s not a jerk and won’t stand by while people are bullied. Other than that, he feels a little flat. It seems like the author is forcing situations where he has to explain stuff to people for his readers, but it’s clunky and just makes him look like a bit of a doormat, or extremely go with the flow to an unhealthy degree. I also can’t make much sense of the interpersonal interactions so far. Everyone seems to get angry at Alan very easily for little to no reason. There is not enough nuance or detail to really understand the social context, so people’s actions and reactions to what they say to each other comes off as nonsensical.

What title says... it's very amateur with not much depth in the writing, but you can tell there's care and it can be enjoyable at times.
Simply that stories that don't stand out in quality of writing and story can somewhat be made up for with a high upload speed- increasing the impression not by a depth and beauty to the writing that leaves a lasting impression, but with the shear volume... basically more of a guilty pleasure- that ok not telling the author to make it into- and therefore probably shouldn't write about this in the review- so ignore that and focus on:
tl;Dr unimpressive and not very original- but can be fun and wish the author well on his writing journey

Not bad, per se, just not really good either. Very much in the style of the beta loner Japanese MC who regrets being so aloof, yet not really because they don't really like most people either so there's constant tension - but they slowly warm up to their deeply annoying companions because of the power of friendship and youthful persistence. Lots of kinda lame HS anime moments: character saying something out loud they meant to keep as a thought, character gets manipulated by very transparent manipulation, petty HS jealousy, etc. Just... definitely in the style of the typical ez-read light novel, but not quite to the quality that makes it engaging.
