Legendary Loser

Grum! A level-99 Barbarian, settled into a lame-ass domesticated Earth-life. Serving patrons at the Tarbean Cafe, tending to his his suburban rental property, and forgetting all about that nonsense back home—days filled with blood and packed with legendary loot.

After repeatedly failing to rekindle those glory days, his coworker Gabe introduces Grum to the world of professional wrestling, hoping to reignite his Barbarian Buddy's Bloodlust.

But, an Endgame Boss from Grum's world is on the hunt, and craves a Main Event that will test whether Grum is doomed to a life of mowing laws and meal-planning or if he can once again become the Blood-Soaked God Stomper he was created to be.

Grum is a barbarian who has some sense and is functional in society, a big plus coming from the land of D&D archetypes. Much like a late 80s action hero, Grum's sense of humor aligns with something from a few decades ago. The bit is interesting and changes it up, though there are plenty of adult humor jokes that tie into the more modern social scene. Part of it feels like Grum is still easily satisfied with quests that he is unaware of the crushing nature of modern society. This comes to such a point that even a beloved unique weapon is reduced to a household appliance, and the horror of that never dawns on him. The humor is a bit hit or miss, but it is well written for that mildly edgy humor.
